2023 Can-Am Outlander XMR 1000R Max Speed Test (Stock VS Flashed)

- Mark and I took the XMR's out for a speed test.. The difference between the two is pretty significant.. I had mine flashed at Dom's speed shop while Mark's is still stock.. It's over 20% difference in max speed. My bike is now faster than a stock Renegade 1000 XXC that maxes out at 130.

Thanks guys I was curious about this I just picked up my 23 XMR 1000R a couple days ago and was curious about chip flashing
It's worth it.. More fuel so bike runs cooler, fan comes on earlier and various other benefits. Biggest for me is the speed.

Thanks for posting this video. I’m picking up a ‘23 1000 X mr in a few weeks and the flash looks like it makes a big difference. Assume doing that voids warranty, is that correct?
Yes, I'm pretty sure it does.. I got mine it October last year, I only had about a month of warranty left when I flashed it.. I have not heard any horror stories about flashes and warranty.

My 2009 Outlander Max 800r would do 131km/hr all stock and no tuning. 🤔
The XMR's are governed.. When you go fast with those tires you know why lol.. I had an 850 max before the xmr and it was close to 140.
Are both you guys running stock tire sizes? One size larger will throw your speedometer off by 9.44% and your actual ground speed would of been 145 kph.
Both bikes on stock cryptids..
What did you use to flash it? Is there a module/tuner you have to buy?
I brought it to Dom's sped shop in the intro.. He flashed it.. night and day difference
What flash did you get on it ? I’m trying flash my outlander 1000 but my tuner says “no compatible tune”
I got mine flashed at Dom's Speed Shop here in New Brunswick.. Not sure what tune it is.
If you dont mind me asking whats the green bungee cords for did the laches break on the box?
The can am boxes are shit.. That's a brand new one that I got under warranty.. .First ride and the clips keep coming off. I have a video call can am outlander xmr trunk box fail.. You'll see why i got one under warranty.. The bungees just stabilize more and if the clips come off, at least the lid doesnt pop open.

I was more interested in top speed under normal riding circumstances.. Aerodynamics were not really in my thoughts at that moment lol.. Mind you, my cryptid tires got probably 1/2 usage so it used to be a little faster as Mark stated in the video.
Thinking about getting mine flashed how much did it help in the mud ?
To be honest with you, the one thing it would help with is keeping it cooler.. As the fans starts earlier but at low speeds in the mud, flashed or unflashed does not really make a difference the way I ride.. My buddy Mark is not flashed and he does the same things I do mud wise.. But I totally run cooler and much faster than him..
And a moose steps out to see what is all the commotion is.
This one is nothing compared to my video called. " KTM 300 XC-W full speed ahead" with my two stroke.. That one is way more dangerous.. The trail is narrower and it's in the deep wood.
