Whats the rule for you multiplying the out of spec bucket by 2... Was that the standard, or was that just so you could get the closest number to be in tolerance?

I don’t believe I ever multiplied anything “by 2”, are your referring to the formula I used for determining the new lifter thickness? Or when I was rounding up the measurements, because that was due to ordering new buckets that were closest to what I measured

Did you need to mod the piston reliefs in order to intall c8's on a stock bottom end?

Nope, they clear so long as you install the provided JWT valve springs

They’re both 272’s, and have 12mm lift. Should be a strong medium cam for n/a this summer and for when I put my turbo kit in next winter

I do tool and die engineering and QC so measuring and units all is natural to me, but I’ve had this valve tick for maybe 2 years now I feel like 1-2 valves have also started making noise it’s so annoying. Could I not just replace ever one of them and skip the BS?

I’d definitely recommend doing the whole job while you’re in there. If you’re lashing everything and choose to ignore anything out of spec it just isn’t worth the time and money to do it at all. That’s just my opinion though
