After 2 weeks of sanding, priming, painting, building and editing over 25 hours of footage - here is part 1 of my living room makeover! Macerly, you are inspiring to anyone who thinks they cannot do something without trying. Your apartment is looking good and the only thing I questioned is the large piece of artwork over your dining table, It does not show up as much as the smaller one that had some colors to it. maybe if the black lines were darker. Tour table and Ikea cabinets came out great, you should be proud of yourself.
Well done! Lovely transformation! Perhaps some colorful throw cushions for the sofa when you've settled on the color of the curtains? Looking forward to the final reveal!
I love it when people arent afraid of a pop of colour. I struggle with blinds and curtains ...its just not something I'm good at chosing but need to for my house! 🙈
I find IKEA to be amazing for curtains and blinds, and pretty budget friendly too. My tip would be to keep the curtains neutral and have your pop of color elsewhere. It makes your room more calm and versatile too, in case you wanna swap curtains around your home. Good luck! 😊
I am in love with the Oak Apple paint you used. I see it had zero Vocs. I have alot of Ikea furniture and it would work really well! You did a beautiful job on the room and the table.
The TV cabinets you have shown in the pictures are also from Ikea, they are called IVAR and they are not that expensive. If you buy two of them it would have cost you around 150€ (at least here in Germany they cost that much) :) But your solution is also so beautiful! Love the colour! 😍
Hey bestie! A potential tip to try: if you take small paint samplers from expensive paint companies//colour booklets to dulux, they can match the colour for you - money saving slay It’s been a while so not 100% sure if they still do it, but worth a try right? :)
this looks so good!! i feel like the pest pasta print could either look great on the exterior wall under the light (to the right of where it was) for a still minimalist gallery wall look… or it could be really good in the kitchen!!! adding to the greens and blues and mediterranean feel.

Metod cabinets are great for tech stuff ... I even use them to house my audio racks in the studio. And if you need to house some devices in the living room, for example for a home cinema setup, that works equally well, for these cabinets don't look too "techy" on the outside :)

I’m trying to make over my own flat as renter friendly as possible and this is really inspiring in a sense that things can be done, and done in a fun way! What type of command strips did you use? I know some are awful so I’d love to have one that’s been proof tested 😊
I love the colors you picked for the table and tv furniture. Very nice solution to decorate on a budget. I would've pick a more colorful art piece as the apartment is already very bright, more color on the wall will match perfectly with the beautiful colors of your furniture. I would also use the big wall with the light fixtures to build the tv set, the space looks a bit awkward this way, and I feel you can have more space to decorate if you use the bigger wall. The current set up is very limiting in mhy opinion. I will place the couch facing the wall with light fixtures, with is back to the door like that you also create a limit for the living room and dinning area. I'm a graphic designer and couldn't help to give my comment on this 🙊

I absolutely love the green color and how you made over the table and the ikea idea was genius, love the pastel colors. I just hate those chairs tho, I noticed some holes in backseat too and I am not a fan of the new painting, looks like a 4 year old scribbled.
