this quest did an amazing job of making an atmospheric horror setting
I made through the Dead Space games,v and this quest made me jump even more then those did.

I don't know if it's just me but I didn't find it scary, I loved the style about the quest but not once did I jump or feel scared.
In fact in 1 point it just felt annoying where I was being chased by a slow weird ghost and the voice acting to run was just terrible.

I remember when he first popped up. I pulled out the Regulators and Mesa didn't do anything I freaked the hell out. Then that chick yelled at me to run! I nearly lost it
I ran Loki but he spotted me through invisibility
I made the mistake of taking my noisy af Chesa into this so i got jumpscared by Rell coming at me from the shadows like a demonic Kool-Aid man @_@
I was in limbo. Pulled me out of the rift. You’ll only realise how scary that is if you’ve played him 😂
I like the use of autism as a means of validating Rell, since autistic people see the world and things around them differently than others, it is interesting to see it used as something to combat the Man in the Wall by seeing something for what it was rather than some accidental gift.
it's all fun and games till you see your body doing a handstand in the back of your ship going "hey kiddo". damn near gave me a heart attack.

I love how one of the most powerful tenno has the EXACT same case of autism as me😂😂 Rell is a badass and I'm legit getting Harrow because of him. Sad how he had to kill his mom though, my mom also helps me with emotional recognition and with the overstimulation of loud noises and touching

I remember doing this mission in my Rhino Prime frame. it was hilariously easy and all tension was ruined from how indestructible I was.
I played as Inaros and just started eating the shadows for the fun of it. the actual combat didn't even phase me as I saw myself immortal to TMITW's attacks, that being said the atmosphere and sounds effects send a chill down my spine every time.
I played Excalibur and destroyed all of them
I was using Titania, it was a hit and run strategy throughout the entire quest line

I thought the end game was racing to extraction

Late to this, but I work as a care worker for someone with a much more severe autism, I've dated someone with autism, many many of my friends have autism or are neurodivergent in some way, and my brother has basically every neurological disorder known to man, this made me weep uncontrollably

I had fun using rhino, really got immersed by walking thru the missions rather than crouch jumping.
I did this at 2 am one day dark no lights noise canceling headset. Freaked me out but I loved it! Well done mission. DE needs to do more like this.
Byf, this was fantastic and a pleasure to watch! As someone who follows the Warframe lore like I hawk, I thank you for telling it's story with the respect it deserves!
This is why I love Red Veil. I remember when everyone was calling them Space Nazis, when that's more New Loka's thing.
Dredgen Sin yeah. New Loka is definitely the space Nazi group. red veil is more like the scientologists of the WF universe.
Never considered Red Veil Nazi's anyone who does doesn't understand what totalitarian fascism is. Red Veil is closer to a homicidal Heavens Gate. They really want to get on that comet and they will murder us all to go with them. New Loka is close to a totalitarian fascist regime and they do have that whole "pure human" thing that sounds awfully close to the Nazis eugenicist bull shit. However New Loka isn't in power, not saying you have to be in power to be a totalitarian fascist just that it really helps, so that seems to be the biggest determining factor and if New Loka does ever decide to try and take over the Galaxy at least 4 other syndicates and their Tenno allies would stomp a whole straight through that tree hugging bitch's perky ass. Stupid sexy space Nazis.

The inclusion of a character with Autism is very interesting to me (as a person with autism) because it actually shapes the analogies/themes of warframe in way I (personally) can understand. It seems to me, that the game has a lot to do/say about mental health and social disorders, using the Tenno and their powers/state of mind as an allegory for the conditions. Rell just seems to be a more "on the nose" version of the allegory.
It's pretty interesting when you look at the game that way, the sense of isolation but also the support and guidance of all the characters, like the Lotus, Ordis, and even your own Frame. I don't know whether this is all intentional or not, but it'd like to think so.

Yeah this quest hit me hard tbh. As someone who was bullied and cast out for mild autism among other things. (Once in middle school they tried to make me eat dirt because they thought i wouldn't have the higher functions xD looking back i laugh. But at the time it was horrible) i really appreciated that they didnt make him out as a full on victim which some sjws are making it out to be. He was more of a hero. And they got it accurate kind of how overwhelming the world gets and how hard it is to understand emotions. He obviously was on the more severe end of the spectrum but still not quite a stereotype id say.

everything considered I think Rell is honestly the most based character, he got the tragic backstory and everything to back him up as well. Would loved to have seen more flashbacks in the chains of harrow quest; like shit wouldve been really cool to find out why he was cast out, mabye we were friends back in the hay day

Byf’s Oberon evolved since we’ve last seen
I was told about this quest in advance by a friend and he told me about how spooky it was, to which I got really nervous for it. I'm very bad when it comes to playing horror/scary stuff myself, but when I played this quest I wasn't scared at all. Tense I guess, but I mostly just... felt really bad for poor Rell. He hits close to home.

I love Byf's narration in these Warframe videos. It's so much different from his Destiny lore videos. We get a story here, and Byf goes along with the tone of the quest

My younger brother is on the spectrum, and to see such an important character like Rell depicted in such a way as a guardian, a shield against the man in the wall, really tugged at my heart strings. I loved how DE depicted his differences as a strength and not a hinderance. Truly my favorite quest.

not gonna line the harrow quest to this day is one of the best and scariest and purest and greatest quest i have ever partaken in.
I main harrow made him an absolute beast I enjoy the challenge and ease he provided, beautiful combo with Xoris and thurible

I find it awesome that my favorite warframe character's frame also had my favorite frame.

@@ek9750 I don't have all the details myself, but, it's classified as a learning disability and it comes with many challenges. I'm very sensitive to certain things such as sound and touch, and there are some things I may have difficulty understanding at first. Those with autism also have trouble socializing and feel quite a bit of comfort around technology. Though I can only speak for myself. There are a variety of different types of autism (a spetrum) mine is known as "aspergers syndrome" a very high functioning form of autism.

Love the lore you bring to us, both here and in Destiny. Gotta ask, with Ballas and E. Umbra established as canon, what will we Nidus mains do? I thought the Nidus was like a proto-Warframe. The test model. Is E. Umbra the completed product? Or did the rage beast come first, then Ballas made Nidus as an experiment on just how much infestation could a frame handle and still be controllable?
I doubt we'll ever have a Nidus Prime (damn you, Ballas!), but I wanted to know if any of you had any theories.

When the ships inside turned red at the beginning of the quest I got so fucking scared and rap tap tap and everything made me fucked up. Freaked me out. I almost couldn’t do the mission
This quest and the sacrifice are so tragic and well written. Just the bugs are whats wrong.
During this quest I could go through solid objects and fall undermap.
The sacrifice was free of bugs mostly.
But the war within didnt let me use transference on the golden maw. Therefore unable to progress.
I had to bug the bug to pass it.
Playing D2 and listening to this in the back ground. I thought you put in Savathûn's song in the back ground for a second
So....who is the man in the wall? Like I've had him appear in my ship twice now. Once after this quest and once after sacrifice. Is he just pure void darkness? or is he like the remnants of Rell void corruption?
If Lotus is Space Mom, Man in the Wall is Void Dad.

It’s implied to be some entity native to the void. Some of its dialogue suggests it was listening/watching the crew of the Zarimann 10-0.

Besides second dream an before the umbra quest. The harrow quest was hands down my favorite especially the demonic horror scheme it brought to the game
Part 4 and 5 are out of oder, since chains of harrow came before and is required for the apostasy prologue. odd to have holo-mom here in a replay.

Rell does know what happened to his mother. After she went insane she "wasn't momma anymore" and she was killed trying to attack Rell.
Whatever you do, don’t use limbo to play this quest, especially at 1am with all of the lights off.

I especially love the character as he also has Autism like me as it seems he is on the high operating spectrum, but only slightly.
