In a certain very early MMO I played as a kid, I went invis and hid in a small, out of the way building that literally nobody would ever visit, so I could practice tailoring or something. While I was invis, two wood elf women came in, closed the door, sat down on the floor facing each other, and removed all their armor. Whatever else they did, it was in private chat, but it was plenty obvious what was going on. I soon had to vacate as my invis was wearing off. I'm sure the door suddenly opening was quite the shock to them. There should have been absolutely no reason for anyone to set foot anywhere near that useless, out of the way building.
I once met a girl from an online game thru a friend. Yes, I know she's a girl cuz I actually met her when she flew to my country for vacation purposes. We were really close back then. Now looking back , while I don't regret meeting her, I did some really cringe things lmao.

I had witnessed the same thing as Biboo, it was in a game called Phantasy Star Online 2 (SEA server), the player using girl character has catfished a member of the team that I was in, the player who got catfished even gave "her" something from a Store, I forgot if it's days or week before they found out that person is a fake. I don't know what happened after that because I moved to JP server, the team that I joined already left SEA Server because it was closing and SEA Server REALLY Lack contents. PSO2 SEA Life is short lived, mainly because AsiaSoft is the worst and even made everything worst when they added the Ranking of players who Spent the most money in game. So yeah, I feel bad for that guy.

Me and my Team had encountered it several times, but the last time we encountered that was during Primordial Darkness EQ, we agreed to the other member of a certain team to see who will be the best DPS. It's My team member vs the Elitist, both of them are Force user and of course my team member won. lol. funny enough I'm not even one of the main dps in our team but I still managed to beat him, I was Ra/Et.
Well my friends let me tell you my story have you ever seen a literal E-couple playing as a duo and I shit you not flirting inside voice team chat, not party chat team chat meaning your entire team has to shit through the game because this 2 cringe people just try to make out inside game which everyone try to win, and I get to end of the stick 1 game away from my rank up ELO game.
Used to be part of a guild that probably has a genuine couple since they claim they play together in separate computers in the same house... Goddess, I miss PSO2
I entered a random building's second floor for really no reason at all in Runescape years ago, and saw people roleplaying sex lmao. Like just screaming in all caps. Funniest shit ever.
I remember playing a game that was a bit like Poptropica but more for just chatting with people and lots of younger teens would have fake relationships on them
Back when clash of clans was on its first year i used to have a clan leader and the co leader who dated they even almost get married up until my co leader decided to go back together with her ex they had entire wedding plans and everything going on LMAO

FF14 is only 13 years old, and it really didn't have that kind of community until some time after a A Realm Reborn release, which was a little more 10 years ago. I mean it still could be though. If she is the bare minimum age to join Hololive she would still be barely in pre-teen era. But the example here more point to MapleStory. I saw things like that everywhere in that game. The added fact the the prior games are free to play.
Look here I'm single but I wouldn't complain about couples and married people flirting in real life but it is kinda annoying when some idiots are actually doing it in game or group chat, like have that cheesey conversation to your selves and have some shame.
The whole point of MMO is the social aspect. If you don't want that you should just play single player RPG and get AI-controlled NPCs to be your teammates.
