  • It's like Uber, but it's free. St. Lucie County Transit Manager Murriah Dekle says the program started in December for residents in the southwestern part of the city.

This service should be provided to mostly seniors and people with disabilities.

But probably most wouldn’t know how to operate a phone to hail a ride☹️

There should be a separate bus for the disabled. And one for people who need to work but don’t have a car

This service should not be restricted to any group. It's a service that so many can benefit from. Excellent Job PSL transit!

There already is a bus specifically for seniors and disabled for st lucie county. It is through the councilnon aging (the bus you saw malcom get off of initially). You just apply through them to get that service. Its door to door and for the entire county

Another question, how much are the tax payers paying for this? Who is paying for the staff, vehicles, gas, maintenance of vehicles, cost of insurance...? How was this approved without even asking it's residents??

If it’s not expensive for us, you shouldn’t make a big deal about it.

There are transportation meetings and city council meeting that are open to the public and have been ongoing. This topic has been discussed

Nothing is “free”. Buses aren’t free, gas isn’t free, maintenance isn’t free, and operators are not free. Why taxes in St. Lucie are one of the highest in Florida.
