Fatih is a miracle! He can't speak Arabic, but he recites the Holy Quran like a native Arabic speaker. Allah says the Quran is for everybody; it can be learnt by anyone regardless of their first language, and Fatih came as living evidence of the Quran as a miracle.

Don't do maqam, it is a bid'at. Basically, they are music tones or a special melody that are used to read the Qur'an. Unfortunately, many qaries do it while it is haram. You're doing fine the way you are.
