they stock that river with 12-15 '' trout.. so, your statement about hold overs although maybe true, doesn't mean that was one of them. That football bow at the end on the other hand... Cheers ! =)
Ya know I have avoided a lot of that pocket water just because of all those bigger boulders and tough wading as I’ve gotten older.. - you’ve definately made a believer out of me and I’m gonna lace my boots up a little tighter and give those areas a good look the end of this week and next spring ! Great Bow as well to end it !!!
Good video dude! A ton of gorgeous browns. Watched every minute and hit that thumbs up. What a great finish with that tank of a bow! Yesterday i went river fishing and my rainbow was like yours, not moving much like a snag/log haha. Chunk!
Omg! How do you do it!! Perfectly constructed and instructed, but… many ,many nice looking browns! Too many to count, then!!haha! ….that slammer and absolute hog rainbow at the end. Again , your perseverance paid off, talk about a walk off homer!!! You're definitely the Man! Thank you for sharing..
I think you had a great day of fishing. The fish were healthy, strong, and they were fighters. I think the brown trout that you didn't know for sure was wild or not...looked wild to me. I love your "Play by Play" commentary as you hook fish, net the fish, and release them. Don't stop doing commentary Dan, it adds a lot to the video. I never fished the Ausable. In the fall season, it looks like a great river to fish. I was just thinking the trout that you lost and then hooked on the second try might not have been the same fish. Maybe there were two or three hanging out at the same feeding station.

Blue cheek mark I believe is a stocked fish. I think it's die of some kind from the hatchery to identify the class.
