Danessa palette is the ultimate nude palette for any skin tone. I have so many palettes where half colours I can’t use but this palette I see myself wearing all of it.
Amanda just shoot a tiny glob of the Clinique gel bronzer onto the foundation, works wonders. I have never found a shade match in literally anything so that's my go to
What would be great in my opinion, if Danessa released individual refills for her new palette, because I don’t need so many colors and don’t want to spend much to get the entire palette.
I love that Half Baked Brightener! I use a tiny bit before my under eye concealer. I discovered it on Urban Outfitters and I prefer it over my Mac color corrector and it's so cheap.
Oh no, you are not the only one that has issues with scary movies. I just cannot get them out of my head. Of course, I was scared of Scooby Doo as a child, well not Scooby but the bad guys. My older brothers had to talk me through those cartoons….they would say, now Terri you know that is really a person dressed up like a monster, remember? For every show. 😂 Thanks Amanda! 💕
I used to LOVE scary movies and for some reason when I got pregnant with my son, I couldn't watch them anymore. I used to have sleep paralysis really bad and all that stopped when I stopped watching scary movies. Lol. What the heck was that!
Lol I related to this so much! Scooby-Doo was the most scary thing I was allowed to watch 😂 as an adult, scary movies also just live in my brain, I can’t do it
I've found that color matching the Glossier foundation is very difficult! I am a little darker than you but not by much, I usually wear a "light neutral" shade. I got L2 (which is described as exactly that)...it's slightly darker and way more yellow than expected. I went to my local Sephora for a shade match and they felt that was as close as it was going to get for me. I know I'm very lucky I don't usually have trouble finding a decent shade, but Glossier has a weird color theory.
I really couldn’t find my right shade in glossier:( but really enjoying the fenty eaze stick! I use it with the merit glow serum underneath and I am such a fan!
with the cost of drug store makeup as high as it is, the dm palette made sense for me and was actually more affordable than buying several $15 products in the course of the year. it’s my contour, bronzer and eye base for winter, summer and the in-between. plz put it with me in my grave thank yew
I got the half caked brightener in beam me up from Amazon and haven’t stopped using it! Needs more love! And I do use before concealer and can use so much less concealer. 😉 (58 FYI)
Im glad to hear someone else with a similar experience..I also purchased the glossier and also could not find a good color match. Im still on the fence about it but i have other foundations i like much better that give a natural finish . I do love the half caked under eye brightner. I use it when I'm underpainting.
Amanda! Will you be reviewing the new Mac Serum Foundation? I have similar skin type to you and it is my HG foundation now! I can’t wait to hear your thoughts.
I think I got lucky with the Glossier foundation by having the sample card in a purchase from Sephora. I was able to figure out my shade from that, otherwise I would have gone with the lightest😬 I do really like it, but only if I apply it with a sponge.
😆I really didn't like the putty shadows in GroundWork, except the dark brown and Black, I liked those. I could hardly see them on my skin (medium tan) and I struggled to get the pigmentation and blend I wanted. I'm glad someone liked them, just not for me. The powders were great though, and I liked them layered over the putty.
Hi Amanda!!!! This was such a fun video! I felt such a sense of delight when you mentioned going to see Howl’s Moving Castle in the theatre! I adore Studio Ghibli movies; my husband's favourite since childhood has been Howl’s Moving Castle, and mine is Spirited Away. I know Grave of the Fireflies is a loved movie, but it is one of the few movies I cannot rewatch because it makes me cry. 😂😂😂 Also, you are not alone with scary movies! I see trailers that captivate my attention, but I know if I watch the movie, it will be a nightmare city. 😅 So… I watch movie breakdown videos on TH-cam about the movies I want to see. 😂😅
Amanda, you write makeup so well and use so many adjectives that I would buy everything you like, seriously, I have been following you for a looong time and I thought that the interest in cream products was going to stop being in trend and consequently you would stop to be left without content, but you have not evolved in a very positive way and I really like your makeup style that I have bought a lot of makeup because of your recommendations. Thank you Amanda and a hug from Chile
OMG I am ABSOLUTELY fascinated by horror movies and I want to watch SO MANY of them, but I cannot for the life of me watch them by myself! I HAVE to watch it with someone because it helps me digest the movie better and softens the experience for me afterwards compared to when I watch alone. Basically, I need that emotional support LOL!
Amanda great video, as always. What shade in the Haus Labs concealer did you use? I’m unsure what shade to get and usually we’re similar shades. Thanks!
I also tried 2 shades of the Glossier and finally gave up. The formula was not good for me at all. It ended up being drying and settling into my dry spots and lines. Not at all what I expected. 😑
I don't understand why you like some concealers over others for hollowness. You mean they are light-reflecting/dewy/shimmery? I like the Tower though it creases a bit more than my other concealers, and only looks good patted down with a sponge; if I buff it/sweep it (or generally use a brush} it looks pretty bad.
The palette is a bomb. Quite expensive though. But yeah, looking at how it works worth the price for the formula but mostly uniqueness. In reality though, I already have good eyeshadow palettes. Especially neutrals. I can go for years with my huda/mac palettes (I use up this palette because I bought it before I knew about cruelty-free so I'm using the mac palette until empty and wont restock). I probably wont buy it for ages.
I just got both the new fair shades of the Elf halo glow liquid filter and it seems like it take FOREVER to dry down if at all. I’m not sure what to think about it…
@@AmandaZ Day 1, all over with total regret. Day 2, mixed in the with the new Revlon foundation I’m still on the fence about. I’m not sure what I expect exactly, but I just bought the DM Yummy Skin tint and I think I like it a whole lot more.
I went to Sephora and tried the new glossier foundation after hearing good things about it on dry skin But it had the weirdest consistency? It seemed to gather up in my pores and dry patches and did not look gr8 at all… which sucks because I was really looking for a natural finish that wouldn’t dry me out
I have read that the physicians formula has a weird bad smell??!?ili am interested in it but have no idea if the people got a faulty product or if it is like a vit c stinky thing..i m very sensitive with smells...
Which brush you choose for the putty eyeshadow effects how much pigment you get. I will say it’s an amazing palette. Also the brush you used for the half baked, is not for swiping, just for patting. Please don’t take offence to my comment, it’s just a female giving advice to another female. You have naturally beautiful eyebrows. I’ve not tried anything from glossier but the foundation does look really nice.
I love the way the physicians formula primer looks, but I cannot stand the smell. But my mom can’t smell it. Anyone else?? I’d love to use it because my skin looks amazing but it smells like rotten kombucha lol
Same - it was horrific! Amanda said in a different video that it shouldn't smell bad, so I dunno...I do have a great nose and smell things other people can't, but this was too gross.

Half caked and Moira are really interesting brands. A full face of both or one of these brands from you would be appreciated. Please and thank you.
I was so pleasantly surprised by the Moira cream blushes. They're stunning, blend so well, and last forever! I'm obsessed!
@@ashlovesblush13 eye shadow formulas and colors are amazing
@@ashlovesblush13 Seconding this one, they blend out so easily but then they stay there alllllll day

I was thinking the same thing
That groundwork palette is actually genius I need it rnnn ❤✨😂
That is a beautiful palette, love the color story, especially for Fall.

I saw Howl’s Moving Castle in a theater. It was awesome!
I think the shade match of the foundation is really good tbh !
What are the names of the Half Caked Night Show shadows you described? I'm especially interested in the green and gold one.
I failed the DM palette. It is absolutely beautiful, but I didn't know how to use it😂🤪❤️
Scary movies invade my dreams, and then leave me with a weird feeling upon waking. Watch very few.

You must have so much makeup, but favour some more than others. Could you do a video about what you’re drawn to and why.
When do you talk about the Glossier foundation?
