- Lana del Rey plays Blue Jeans live at Manchester's Ruby Lounge on 4th November 2011on the first date of her UK tour. Lighting was at the limits for my camera (and maybe back-lighting didn't help), I've boosted things as much as possible without creating too much nose so hopefully they're watchable - the sound came out pretty good!

Great scales ventured to....accentuations on different words as compaired to the original which is great to see her so comfortable!! Showing a lot of haters she has got scale and is not just dependant on studio!!

To those of you who were at Lana show. I'm a close personal NYC friend & a big fan. I want to know about her tour band. How many instruments were there? How many guitarists & keyboard players? I'm sure there were a drummer & bass player. Were there backup singers & how many? Any string players (violin, cello, quartet). I saw that she onlu used a pianist & a string quartet on the Jools Holland show, but I know that was not the case for this show. Thanks so much. I really appreciate it.

@banginghats2 Yeah I'd even forgotten about that after the show - it didn't enter my mind that she was at less than 100% and that might explain why she took a song to really warm up her voice :)
@VitaReduXX that is funny that you noticed that cause I thought the same. In 2008, she sang higher. I mean this doesn't mean that her voice was naturally that high, but I don't think her low register hear is her natural one either. Maybe in between. She is probably a mezzo-soprano.
@Amkjnwww She was great live!! Maybe a slight wobble on the first song but as soon as she heard the applause she really got in to her stride and performed a great set :D

@justask4leo Don't know of anything specific but hopefully around the time of the album release I would think there's a good chance - she must have enjoyed the show as the audience were really with her all the way so hopefully she'll be putting Manchester on the list :)

@yourhighness336 not exactly the "say you remember. baby hoooo" is not as good as the studio version. the 'hooo" part is my absolute favorite. yea i know im weird like that. She got better though. i've been watching a lot of her live videos and the newer ones have better vocals.

I am fascinated as to why this woman has received such vitriolic reviews. It's like a mob or mass mentality. That, or she evokes an interesting response. I've heard and seen such agonizing, cringe-worthy performances from top of the charts artists (I could make a long list here...). This woman isn't doing anything so awful as to garner such a strong reaction. There are plenty of vapid, plastic music chicks that I find offensive and wish my daughters didn't listen to. This woman seems more real.

i don't think this low register is her natural one. this performance isn't that great TBF, she sounds quite flat but i'm really looking forward to her album

Don't get it but I guess some people will like anything. Her vocals are flat, tone is terrible and I don't even understand what she is saying. Fail.
