Thanks for sharing db readings. I vaguely remember learning about db in electronics and thought I'd share for anyone in comments that might not know how it works. It's a little different than you'd think. A 1 dB change in a sound equates to about a 26% difference in sound energy (remember that a 3 dB difference is a doubling of energy levels). In terms of subjective loudness, a 1 dB change yields just over a 7% change. A 3 dB change yields a 100% increase in sound energy and just over a 23% increase in loudness.
Hi it’s a 2021 model, no issues other than it was still too quiet for me. It’s the BS6 (euro 5) model. They are all made in India. I ended up removing the muffler all together. Now it’s loud enough. (But amazingly still relatively quite!). Check out my other videos for an update. After removing the muffler, in warm weather it usually have to push the start button twice, if it is a cold start. In cold weather, it starts right up! I’m keeping the muffler off because it’s so quiet and I believe the new stock exhaust that wraps under the bike, is more restrictive. The bike is slightly heavier that the previous year, that exhaust wraps around the left side of the motor. I’m happy to report the bike doesn’t catch the attention of the police. I would highly recommend you try listening to your bike without a muffler. To see if it is too loud or not loud enough. From there decide if the baffle mod is best for you. Thank you for the comment. 😎👍
@@impreza99rs Wow, thank you for the detailed well written response, I appreciate that. I have the 2021 NA version and will take your advice by taking off the muffler.
I still have my muffler off. It’s is amazing how relatively quiet the bike is compared to motorcycles. If there is any downside, I would say my bike looks like a 200 duke, not everyone will accept the look and will go with an aftermarket muffler.
I’m going to do a video on the decibel levels. It really isn’t that bad. Sounds really good downshifting and decelerating. Even without the muffler it is quieter than most other bikes in my area… a lot of ppl ride Harley Davidsons and they are very loud.

Which year is yours? And is it from North America? Any issues with stalling afterwards? I plan to do the same. Thanks.

I thought that it sounded a lil quiet compared to other bikes I've heard buzzing down the street.
it works for the 390 duke 2021? (France)

Ah no it’s not that loud compared to most bikes they do absolutely nothing about.
