that shaft with the drive shaft end is for operating a switch in the area for the railroad, probably.

Before kids burnt down the warehouse there used to be a "porn trailer" which was an office trailer with the walls covered in porn mag pages

The area with the pipe is from Rokach factory. They made borscht and other food products by the tracks off Southard Ave in Farmingdale. They would pump out the water used to wash the beets into the woods. The area would be red from it. Across the street was Golds lumber, that's the large open buildings you found. These were built in the 70"s closed in the late 80's I think.

Live in Howell. Pass by here often. Word was there was a homeless group of illegals living in shipping containers that were on the back structure. Since run off by the town. Or something like that.

125 years ago Farmingdale was one busy place where the trains brought produce into Phli. and n.y.c.

These townships should start bringing back homesteading so the land could be rejuvenated.

***** they should start tiny homes on wheels communities, off grid. Reduce the taxes so that people can purchase an acre of land. I am looking to doing it this year but at a State where it is affordable. Will check into townships here first to see if they have a change of heart. Already lost a home at NYS that I fully payed for because there was no employment to cover even a low tax. They will have to come down to $25.00 a year for property taxes because this is what I have found at other States.
