Great to see Elliot looking so well. Unlike many of John's so called friends, he has never courted publicity and has always being loyal to Yoko and Sean for over 50 years.
A few years ago, Elliot took the time to have a little conversation with me on his TH-cam channel. We talked about several things surrounding John and he answered all my questions with so much courtesy and wit.

I love how Elliott refers to Paul McCartney as Sir Paul. Very respectful.

Years ago I watched (or heard?) his interview on the beach with John. There’s also his long interview with Ringo on TH-cam. I wonder if he mentions Fred Seaman, whose book about this period is also very interesting.

I remember reading in that Fred Seaman book that John was explaining the lyrics of Bob Marley's 'Ambush in the Night' to his PA all the while, outside the Dakota, that fiend was prowling around with similar intentions to take Lennon's life. Seaman is a dubious source though, given that he robbed his former employers...

Elliot has a great channel also, there is a long interview with David Cassidy in Hawaii which is worth a listen giving insight on the celebrity Cassidy was dealing with, also a walk along a beach coincidentally.

Interesting guy but something of the salesman about Elliot Mintz. I think he was basically John & Yoko's pet disciple who only reveals what Yoko allows him to. He looks good for 80yrs old.

I generally love the podcast, but if I never hear another word about the Beatles for whatever's left of my life (I'm 63) I'll die happy. And I like the Beatles. But good god get over it.

He comes across as you'd expect someone so versed in PR to come across, a little too polished and careful with his words, kind of stiff and unnatural. Whether we need another book on John Lennon is debatable, but I might buy it anyway. He doesn't mention that in the process of cataloguing John's possessions, he dug out a huge backlog of home demos and unreleased material, which he used to create his epic 218-episode radio series The Lost Lennon Tapes (1998-1992). Some of it ended up in the John Lennon Anthology and the Beatles Anthology boxed sets...

Considering he has appeared on a number of US made documentaries over many years strongly suggests that he was indeed a close associate of the Lennons. There's also photographic evidence of his presence at the Dakota.
You have zero knowledge of him. It's very easy to verify Mintz's relationship.

My impression is, Mr Mintz is circumspect in what he is revealing, either because he doesn't wish to upset Yoko, or because he's hoping people will buy his book. He's obviously a thoughtful person, he isn't like the usual 'celebrity' hangers-on who gush on and on about being close to somebody famous.
