Hola. Nice to see the Costa Blanca again. The weather looks absolutely perfect there, but I would guess it's perfect weather almost every day of the summer there. 🙂 The weather was beautiful here today too, so I also went to the beach. Not on Cape Cod, but in the Boston area. I can see you recorded this late in the afternoon, and the light is just perfect. I love the long afternoon shadows and the golden light! Lots of para gliders there (I think that's what they're called). I've never done that, but it looks fun. I love the Mirador. It integrates into the landscape beautifully, and it just looks awesome. What a great way to take in the spectacular view of the coast. I've never actually heard of the word 'mirador' (viewpoint) before, but it's interesting that we use the word 'vista' here all the time. I guess it's an English word too, but I always assumed it was Spanish. Anyway, maybe I'll start using 'mirador' instead of vista point. 😆 I can see by the shadow that you used the GoPro. 😀 I was actually thinking of buying a new camera called the Insta360 (i think) to replace my GoPro. You can wear it around your neck like a necklace and almost forget it's there. But then, I stopped making content for my channel, so what the heck would I use it for? 😄 I guess I'll save my money. At 9:30 I noticed the cranes on the skyline. Is the area still growing with the tourism industry? At 14:40, I noticed some signs in English. I think I read that the Costa Blanca is very popular with the Brits. Well, I think the weather in Britain is always damp, cloudy, dreary and misty, so I can see why it's so popular! They must sell a lot of sunscreen in Alicante. 😅 Love the walkway to the beach. It seems the ritual at Carabassi is exactly like it is on Cape Cod. Everybody packing up their stuff at the end of the beach day and heading back to the car, washing the sand off their feet. 😅 It looks so familiar. Oh my god, shark! 20:50. Everybody out of the water! 😂 At 26:09, I didn't get a good look at what that was, but did it have something to do with Santa Pola? At 28:36, all I can say is "look out lady"! Walking Spain coming through. 😆 The buildings on the street at 29:30 definitely remind me of Southern California. Same style. I noticed an RV (recreational vehicle) parked on the street at 30:50. Is that popular in Spain? It's very popular in the USA. People love to get in their RV and travel across the US during the summer. Beautiful view on the walkway at 34:30, and at 36:30, I could almost smell the sea! I really enjoy the videos at these coastal towns. Take care.
Hola! How's it going? I'm glad to know that you're also enjoying the summer days in Boston (I think I've seen what the beach is like in the Boston area in one of your videos). As you say, weather is being very good here, although it's quite hot in the central hours of the day, it's also somewhat windy, which helps to cope with that heat... and it's perfect for paragliding (maybe in another life I'll get around to doing it too 😄) I was convinced that this tour would seem familiar to you, and as you say I think that the ritual of a Sunday at the beach is the same all over the world. This beach is usually filled with people from nearby cities like Elche or Alicante every summer weekend, I suppose that something similar happens in Cape Cod. From what places do they usually come there? I suppose that mostly from Boston, which is a short distance away. As you know, this time of day is my favorite for filming, whenever I have the chance I choose this time. On this occasion I think I started filming at around 8pm. I'll take this opportunity to tell you a curious fact that few foreigners know about Spain and that I think is great and I hope it never changes. Spain is geographically located on the same meridian as England (in fact the Greenwich meridian passes near Costa Blanca) but we don't have the same time zone as them because we use the one used by the rest of continental Europe, this means that we have a time that doesn't really correspond to us since we should have one hour less. Therefore here it gets dark an hour later than in the rest of Europe, at 10pm in summer it's not dark yet. As I said, this is something I like so much, and I think most Spaniards do too, because you could say that we "gain" an hour of light a day with everything that this entails (Okay, it also dawns an hour later but who really cares 😆) I think we are in a similar situation regarding the camera, I have been mulling over the idea of changing cameras for quite some time but I have never gotten around to doing it because I think I can still get some performance out of my old GoPro. I've been looking at different cameras and the Insta360 also caught my attention (and what you said about the possibility of holding it to your chest or neck and forgetting about controlling it is a good idea). Although perhaps the camera that caught my attention the most is the Dji Osmo Pocket, because it has a high-quality image sensor to record in low light (which is what I miss in the GoPro) and a mechanical stabilizer instead of a digital one... Anyway, let's see if one day I decide to change it 😅 I agree with you, the views from that cliff are spectacular, it's a great success that they built a "mirador" there. And regarding the word mirador, it comes from the verb "mirar", which is actually a synonym of the verb "ver" (just like observar, divisar, contemplar...), from which comes the word "vista". So it's practically the same as viewpoint, a place where to take a look. The Spanish language has many words to define practically the same thing, It is because of these things (although especially because of the verb conjugations) that I have always had the impression that Spanish is a difficult language for foreigners to master well, even though it is relatively easy for them to get by with basic things (I don't know if from the perspective of someone who is not a native Spanish speaker, you have that same impression?). On the other hand, I think that the English language is simpler in terms of grammar for a Spaniard but more complicated when it comes to speaking it, especially due to pronunciation (I suppose that if you have heard any Spanish speaker speak English you will know perfectly well what I am referring to 😆) Regarding the cranes, you are right, this region is in continuous expansion (except during the years of the crisis). Now it is precisely foreigners who buy the most houses in the area. You are also right about the British, they are very, very numerous here (although it seems that in recent years there has been a large influx of Russian and Eastern European tourists) and I completely agree with the last thing you said 🤣 the sunscreen sellers must be getting rich off of them 🤣 (although really the Germans seem more obsessed with sunbathing) Regarding the small chapel you mentioned, it belongs to Virgen del Rosario, a short distance from there in that direction is the shrine of the Virgen del Rosario (I'm sure it would remind you a lot of the churches in California). I hope to do some other tour there so you can see it. You are right, it could have ended in tragedy! 😆 I think she got the scare of the day. It's something that happens to me from time to time, I think I should play music like the one the ice cream truck plays to warn in advance...although on second thought I'm sure TH-cam would penalize me for violating copyright 😝 so I'll rule it out You're right, those buildings with stucco facades and tile are very similar to those on the Californian coast, I think you call them Spanish style houses there, right? Here that style of houses is very popular on the Mediterranean coast. Yeah, recreational vehicles are also quite popular here. Although most of them belong to tourists from northern Europe, because in those countries they are really very popular. It's a great option to travel through many countries, since you don't need a passport or visa to travel between countries in the European Union. I'm very glad you enjoyed this summer tour, I'll try to film more tours along the coast, although I still have my Toledo tours pending (I think the next one will be a little different from the rest as it is especially aimed at Spaniards, even so I hope you enjoy it too or at least you find it curious) Nos vemos! Take care

The whole video was of good quality, but the last scene, walking along the wooden path towards the beach, was amazing. The weather was slightly dark and there was a wonderful color in the combination of the sea and the sky ahead.👍 But I think you had some problems with the sound because of the wind! Thanks for sharing. Good luck.👋
Thank you very much for your kind comment! I'm very glad you liked the tour. I agree with you, the color combination of the sea and sky was really pretty at that moment. You're right, I normally use a filter when I edit tours with wind that mitigates that noise but that day the wind was especially strong and maybe I should have adjusted the filter more. Greetings and welcome to my channel ☺️
