Hi Dan. I’ve literally just got back from Alton Towers and my first rides on Nemesis Re30rn. I wanted to wait until today as it’s almost 30 years to the day from when I rode the original Nemesis when I was 14. I was blown away then and I’m blown away again. It’s still my favourite coaster, and I’ve been on a lot. Alton Towers have smashed it again. It’s absolutely perfect. That new eye effect is jaw dropping. Kinda felt sorry for Nemesis. Lol. The only thing I miss is the roar. Otherwise 🦀 is perfect. 10/10.
I love with that one piece of track, half of the community was panicking that there may be complications, and the other half was excited to see what they'd do with it, and it ended up being placed between a couple of rocks. Don't get me wrong, it looks nice, as in its not out of place, but people were expecting a massive set piece type of thing.
I remember going on the original in 2007 and the water in the trenches being red shame they didn’t bring that back was such a simple yet freaky element to see as a kid so happy they kept her tho and didn’t just replace such an iconic coaster long live Nemesis look forward to riding her again 💯🙌🏼
The blood red lakes with the sinister music, screaming and load roar made a very frightening experience as a 13 year old in '94. Anything any theme park have tried to make as scary since hasn't touched that level of terror.

I can't wait to get back on it since the retrack. My favourite seat before was back row, far left... I found it more intense, particularly on the downward helix, after the first corkscrew. But they often left the back row free for fastpass, I hope they're not still doing that... fastpass can go anywhere, they don't have to hog the back row! 😢

Great review and I agree with it so much! 😃 Recently discovered your channel and love your videos. I credit Nemesis as the coaster that made me an enthusiast! Whilst I do miss old Nemmie for the nostalgia value and how great it looked (with the red river) in the 90’s/00’s, they truly gave it the love/glow-up it deserved. I got two rides last week. Row 2 (silky smooth) and 6 (that rattle, though 🥴). If they fix the rattle and improve some of the dead space with foliage/theming it would be perfect. I’d love to have the waterfalls back but I don’t think it’ll happen.
Honestly to me, the queue and the wing are amazing, the ride feels more intense and there is FAR less head banging than before, however, the rattle is heavy, for a new ride to have more rattle than a woody is very bizarre and leaves me worried
I live a few hundred years down the road from towers. My mate and I went on the first public ride round on the original nemesis on opening morning. I think I was probably about 12 or 13. Shat my pants. Great memories.
before nemesis was retracked and reborn, wickerman was my number one at towers, but now nemesis is my number 1, i find it incredibly smooth and the whole area of the ride is amazing, in my opinion they have done an amazing job
This theming looks soo great-sadly I can't que so I can't see it in person I don't think but I'm soo exited because I'm going in the summer (hopefully) Also have they added a ride access que or do we still have to use the exit??
Tbh, I never noticed the themeing as when I went last Monday (25th March 24) it was walk on after 11am (I done x sector and dark forest first) Ended up going on it 5 times and got front row 4/5 of them and back row the other, properly lucked out, the station Is unreal and the staff dressed as Phalanx members is sick, the later you go on it the better, we went on one of the final rides of the day and it was so so quick, buzzing to go back soon!
The tops of the Queue line fencing are very gnarly, I have a feeling we're going to see a few punctured hands, veins and eyeballs hanging from it, after seeing what the bored kids/teens get up too while waiting in a 90min queue line. We may get a river of blood after all, ha, ha, ha.
I was on the ride at night that broke down on row 3 we got evacuated and it was weird there was like a platform so u could get off like a sit down coaster 😭😭 those panels on the railing like the grey ish panels attach on the ride and make it so u can get off 😂
Does anyone else remember ever watching a movie similar to the nemesis lore? About scientists that drill under ground and find a subterranean creature? I remember watching it with my dad as a kid.
I rode it in the Easter holidays. It had a mild rattle when I sat on the outside but on my second ride, I sat in the back row on the inside, and it was great. But the queue was very long, and it was raining. I blew my nose and then didn't have anywhere to put my tissues because the queueline had barely any bins. But it's definitely better than it was before the retrack (although I'm not sure how it compares to the original when it was first built; I'm not that old). And it's better than Inferno.
me-myself the original had much more of an impact as one of the worlds most intece roller coasters wich people from all over the world flew out to go on this slight re theming will not be of as much intrest
I went on the Sunday. Rode it 8 times and didn’t feel the issues that people have spoken about. I loved every ride, particularly on the front. It’s a real shame that you can’t queue for the front. The front is my favourite row. Apparently the rattle has now disappeared?

I reckon the original was that smooth 30 years ago. Just got more and more rattly as the years went on. So good for a reset, it remains the best coaster.
I don't know if it's because I didn't go to a theme park for ages or if I just love nemesis but it felt really smooth and intense but was a bit of a rattle for some reason.

IMO the queue seemed pretty empty (not theming btw) but I think it needs some trees and bushes, and maybe even just grass to look less artificial and empty for me :/
Still wish mr phalanx man could have been there… so sad 😢 there should’ve of been like a little Easter egg for him dotted somewhere in or around nemesis reborn!
Why did they seriously not comsider upgrading the restraints to at the very least a more modern over the shoulder like Swarm? Seems like its just a retrack and nothing more. I get alton towers cant make any new coasters for a while but its still disappointing when the rest of europe has so much more.
Im going on wednesday and im gonna ride nemesis as much as possible im so pumped by the re track i only rode it once before it closed so i want the feel again!!!!!!!!!!!

Pretty sure the dye was harmful to the environment that's why they never brought it back.

I'll be honest. My main complaint was the lack of any sort of food kiosks in the queue line.. 5 Hours no food in the freezing cold was horrid

The 2 pieces of track did not fit so they added it into the queue. And the mud bit has to be there for the pump and other utilities

Um, maybe I had a bad ride but I felt it was slower and could feel trimming after the barrel roll. Didn't feel as fierce as the original to me.
