There's nothing wrong with celebrating abundance and being grateful. I happen to know that one of the ways that my country (America) gets around the ICC is by saying to them "Hey, we'll prosecute this case ourselves" and then they do it on some level. Lots of American soldiers have been charged with war crimes over the past 20 years or so (as former Army I can state that any violation of the Geneva Convention is a prosecutable offense on paper under UCMJ), BECAUSE of the presence of the ICC. They have to work harder to police themselves because the ICC exists. I think that the ICC waited so long to officially indict Bibi because they were giving Israeli courts all the dang time in the world to just do it themselves, and they clearly refused. That's all ANY western country ever needs to do to get the ICC off of their backs, is just prosecute the case themselves in some way. Forcing Bibi to resign probably would've been enough! I happen to know that one of the ways that my country (America) gets around the ICC is by saying to them "Hey, we'll prosecute this case ourselves" and then they do it on some level. Lots of American soldiers have been charged with war crimes over the past 20 years or so (as former Army I can state that any violation of the Geneva Convention is a prosecutable offense on paper under UCMJ), BECAUSE of the presence of the ICC.
They have to work harder to police themselves because the ICC exists. I think that the ICC waited so long to officially indict Bibi because they were giving Israeli courts all the dang time in the world to just do it themselves, and they clearly refused. That's all ANY western country ever needs to do to get the ICC off of their backs, is just prosecute the case themselves in some way. Forcing Bibi to resign probably would've been enough! Also, Lindsey Graham is clearly a broken man. I feel sorry for him.
The ICC has no teeth. The corruption is deep indeed.
