Probably because the first season has poor animation with terrible 3d parts. The second season is better, however, they censor the action. For instance, no one gets cut in half or beheaded. Kanki is known as Kanki the beheader for a reason. The worst thing still is they miss out a entire story arc, the assassination arc. Having said all that, the anime isn't bad. The manga, on the other hand, is immense. It is probably the best manga i've ever read. Every fight scene tops the last and it's one of those rare long running manga that gets better every arc.
Ian Anderson Yea I agree the animation is terrible but I still liked how it was different. Additionally I think the story is SO good it just needed some fine tuning to make it more popular.
this anime has the best climax in all animes i have ever watched. i gave it a 7 (mostly due to bad animation) but as it progresses to the final episodes i changed it to a 9(again, the animation prevented it to be a true masterpiece). pacing is flawless and the execution was perfect. honeslty, one of the most underrated anime of all time.
See I think for most people they watch 1 episode and go: "Hell no." This is because the animation sucks. But hey I'm a story kind of guy so I had no issues. But the animation gets way better later. And I actually liked the art.
