    I added stick on Velcro dots to the table and the base of my mini ,works for me. But I had to nominate part of a bench just for it.

    Hi, I just bought one of these ,,, i have so much yarn that it will take me 150 years to knit so this is definitely an absolute must.. lol .. thanks for your video..you are very sweet.

    I have 4 circular knitters of different sizes including 2 addis. The large sentro was my first one and worked perfectly right out of the box. My only objection to it is that it is very choosy about yarn. Caron super soft runs like butter and dk weight yarns run beautifully as well. Mine doesnt like super saver and other more bulky yarns. My row counter doesnt work correctly any longer but I have now put a new one on. All that being said, definitely worth the money. Very fun and useful.

    • @InfinitiCraftingCo
      @InfinitiCraftingCo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mine is also choosy, especially when it comes to red heart super saver and loops and threads impeccable. I agree, those two work splendidly! Over all I think this has been one of my best purchases yet. Sometime this year, I'd love to get an Addi.

      I don't have issues with dk (3) - bulky (5) yarn. I had the misfortune of my son breaking a hook on my 40 stitch machine. Luckily my other 40 matches exactly in spite of being a different "brand".
      For dk weight yarn I use the "tight" tension hole on the guide, 4/aran weight I use the "medium" tension hole and for a 5/bulky I use the loose hole. Tension can't be too tight or too loose. I can't find good tension without the tension guide.

    Hi there, thought I'd let you know how I keep tabs on how many rows I've done. I cut about 4 inches of contrast yarn and add to a stitch after every 10 rows leave it hanging in the centre, have a pen and paper next to me and mark how many 10's I have done, keeps track great, hope it helps x

    This is the Sentro's version of the Addi Pro Circular Knitting Machine. The real difference is that
    the Addi comes with a counter and the mini Sentro does not. The Addi Pro does indeed cost more
    because it is a better made machine, however, the Sentro machines will get the job done. If
    you are going to do production work, I would recommend Addi product. For regular usage, the
    Sentro is fine. I own both the Addi King and Pro, as well as the 48 needle Sentro. For the
    Sentro mini you can purchase a counter for if, in case you are "cranking" out projects and need
    to keep row count. Rubberized shelving, which you can buy at Dollar General or Dollar Tree can
    be used to sit the mini on to keep it from slipping around. With these circular knitting machines,
    you will notice that clicking noise when knitting the first row. These smaller circular knitting machines
    are nice for making small knitted stuffed toys..

    I just got mine. I did get all three sizes. Do have a list of number rows you use for hat, or scarves in the different sizes. Can’t wait to see your tube tutorials. Have a joyful day creating.

    • @InfinitiCraftingCo
      @InfinitiCraftingCo  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh cool! I know for hats on the 48, I tend to use 80 - 150 rows for a hat, depending on the style. For scarves I tend to use 250 + rows. I don't really make child sized items though so I don't have numbers for that category. Happy Making to you as well!

    • @InfinitiCraftingCo

      Hi Mary, I've only been able to make teen-adult sized hats on the 48 needle machine. You'd have to get the 22 needle size for baby items.

    Hey ! I've just ordered this machine as I am wanting to make circular scarves or snoods for dogs ! I see that when casting off you looped so that you could then pull it together to create the top ? Would i have to cast off differently to stop it bunching up ? I hope this makes sense lol

    • @InfinitiCraftingCo
      @InfinitiCraftingCo  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Emily, I like that idea and I wish you luck on it! You could use the same cast on that I did and just not cinch it together. When I first got my machine, I also experimented with casting off with single crochet but that is a little more fiddly. I hope that's what you meant 😅

    • @InfinitiCraftingCo
      @InfinitiCraftingCo  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think this size would be good for the foot and maybe a little past the ankles, it'd depend on the size of the calf, I'm not sure how much than mini tube would stretch.

    I just got my mini and I have been trying to get it to work for HOURS! No matter how slow I go, it keeps dropping stitches, then does a popping sound and gets stuck for a second before continuing, dropping almost every single stitch! I am so disappointed, I want to cry! I make hats for charity on peg looms. I thought this machine would help me make them faster. Do I just have a defective one, or is it something I'm doing wrong?

    • @InfinitiCraftingCo
      @InfinitiCraftingCo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mary,
      I'm so sorry your machine is acting up. Mine started doing the same thing last year so I'm thinking you just have a defective one.

    I'm not thrilled about the bunny ears on it. Those in "my" opinion should be attachable in the case you like this one but not the ears things.
    I prefer the tension guide so I get even sized loops. I have a jamit (technically a sentro) but it's starting to give me some issues. I will keep it for parts that might break. I have another one coming.
    This is not for making hats unless it's for dolls or a premie baby. It does make nice phone holder bags or to do stripes of color in strips for larger projects.

    • @InfinitiCraftingCo
      @InfinitiCraftingCo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mallori, I agree with you on the rabbit ears, they're particularly annoying. This was especially apparent once I started doing tutorials on the machine 😅
      The tension guide is great for sure. I also started having issues with my mini sentro earlier in the year and had to replace it but I definitely recommend keeping parts, I managed to break that tension guide one time.
      Thanks for that heads up. I kinda thought that the tubes were too small but those are some good project recommendations! Happy Making!

    • @mallorikerr4092
      @mallorikerr4092 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I managed to find replacement tension guides on etsy but I had to get creative and make one using laminating pouches and a cardboard cover from one of my happy planner sticker books. Finding something just big enough for the tension I need can be difficult but then I can store them away in case of an emergency.

    • @InfinitiCraftingCo
      @InfinitiCraftingCo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It could be that the yarn being used is incompatible with the machine. If you're having that problem with it straight out of the box, it could be damaged.
