    When the time is right, I will definitely be implementing his no repot technique! He is truly a Bonsai/Tree Wizard!!! He deserves some kind of award for what he has accomplished and given in to the world of Bonsai! A very humble man who is dedicated to his craft and is very compassionate! Thank you very much for this Master series on Dan Robinson A true legend! Love to watch your videos! 👍🏾👍🏾

    As a bonsai beginner there is so much information to assimilate. However, the guiding principal I would take from Dan is to replicate a tree's natural environment as best as possible and to just let a tree do what a tree does best.

    Phenomenal set of videos David. Many thanks for doing them all. You and your team are doing an amazing job. It's so great having the three of you together to discuss and enjoy those wonderful trees together. Really hope you can get to the west coast again, and up here in Canada no less. Van Isle would have you back in a heartbeat. Maybe come with DeGroot in the fall? ... Also enjoying the rebrand of the channel. Would love the book .... but I guess we have to get the video to 500 comments first... hopefully this comment and like will boost it in the algorithm. :)

    Great series dave. ! I would prob implement more age and carving to my trees along with the twisting and contorted style. I love the gnarly effect on his trees.i feel like dan has the ultimate connection with nature and i think to find that u have to go collecting. Alot of what he does he sees in nature and portrays these images that he sees in life of these very old trees.u can wire a tree, carve a tree ,style a tree but the trees he has u can tell has been withered away by nature itself and i feel like its very hard to duplicate that and that is why his collection seems soo special to me. I can see the old age twisted and contorted style of tree and its something i forget about because i have alot of young trees. Loved the stories and the walkthrough. Thank u dan dave and the whole team.

    Did I miss the giveaway? What a fantastic series. Thanks so much. I am really interested in his idea of pruning later in the season, I am very keen to experiment with that. Also I'm absolutely going to look for a stone to plant a tree in now. Some of those stones I wouldn't have believed could support a tree as thick as he has on them. Very inspiring. I'll end up rewatching this many times.

    Thoroughly enjoyed this series of videos. I think I will reconsider the apex of some of my trees after seeing Dan's collection to try to achieve an older look. I'll also think about maybe reducing the repotting frequency since he has had some of those trees in the same pot for decades! Thanks for the wonderful content. Time to dream about sublimation and "gnarly" trees. 😊😊

    It's incredible what you can achieve when you have an open mind and step out of the traditional conformism. I like the idea of not repotting trees and letting them fight for survival. I will try to treat a few trees of mine like that and see what I get in a few decades

    • @BonsaiSociety
      @BonsaiSociety  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Keep in mind though :
      1. He does some mild root pruning.
      2. He lives in a very humid environment where it constantly rains.
      3. It's one of his most controversial opinions within the bonsai community.

    • @valentinbalint4083
      @valentinbalint4083 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I am aware that this way of treating trees is not that straightforward and needs a lot of observing and different care than the way everybody else does it. And even though it is controversial, nobody can deny the results he achieved.
