One quick cleaning tip: When you are cleaning framed items, spray the cleaner onto your cloth. That way it will disperse more evenly and you don't run the risk of the cleaner seeping under the frame and glass and getting onto your item and possibly causing damage - or ruin - depending on how tightly the frame fits, and what the item underneath is made of. I learned the hard way. Also, you would probably be an excellent seamstress - talented person that you are... There are classes available. Knowing how to make small repairs and alterations can open up a world of options and opportunities with thrifted/vintage finds, both personally and professionally. Something to consider...😄
@@wanya_telbornWhat is not that deep? I thought the advice about cleanining framed needlework was good advice. In fact...I'll even add to it..."A stitch in time, saves nine"...pun intended.
Yes! That’s needlework! I completely understand your panic! Lol I was yelling at the the tablet screen NO NO NO! OH NOOOO! Lol I remember the first piece of needlework I ruined spraying the frame and not the cloth! Heartbreaking.

I agree, I messaged her just because I love to see her … I just watched a past video and enjoying now her new one ❤ Take care of yourself first Elise, always! (((HUGS)))
Elise, maybe you need a lighted makeup mirror, the kind that plugs into the wall. The better ones had several different kinds of lighting settings so you could do full daylight or warmer evening light. You might have to buy that new, I never see them in the thrift shops here in CA. The bulbs probably break.
I am 57 and love Lenny Kravitz as well! Good music is good for the soul! I love everything about your style and your channel in general. You are beautiful with your flowing red hair. I'm so impressed with what you've accomplished in your life at your age. AND, you get to do something you're passionate about. Be proud of yourself! I'm proud of you and proud for you!
I remember when I was in my early 20's, my mom introduced me to yard sales and thrift shops. I was so insulted and embarrassed to think I would buy someone's discards.silly girl I was!!! Once I got off my high horse, I realized hoe much fun it was and how much money I saved. Now, that's pretty much all I do when I want to buy something. You know the art of a good buy and it's so much fun. I am glad I put my snobby attitude away and gave thrifting a chance.
Regarding your bedroom: cream or peach pink sheets. A solid duvet in the same color. Fold the lovely flowered spread at the bottom of the bed. Get 2 large euro square pillows to prop up your regular pillows. The flowered pillows will look good on the bed in front of your bed pillows. You need lamps on either side of the bed. It would be pretty to have flowered pattern lamps to echo the flowers on the walls. Or just plain white. Those blue and white lamps were gorgeous, sorry they don’t match your bedroom. They might look good in the kitchen as extra light? Not sure. Just thought they were beautiful. ❤❤❤ good shopping. Have a wonderful week. The blue set is gorgeous. Get someone to alter the top. Pearls would look beautiful with it. There are makeup mirrors with lights. The oval flower frame is lovely. ❤
The color of the blue coat you're wearing is absolutely gorgeous on you! You may have more luck looking for vintage floor lamps and vintage brass table lamps, you can always change the shade. I have four lamps in my living room, one in my kitchen and four in my bedroom. That way you don't have to use overhead lighting which is not flattering to anyone. Also what you're calling lamps that go on the ceiling are called ceiling light fixtures. Good luck in your treasure hunt.
I like you take us on your outings, it give us a look into where you live. It's lovely. The roads are so well taken care of. The roads around our country aren't so well taken care of, sadly. I love how you have made such a beautiful home for yourself Elise. I have been watching your transformations for years!❤❤❤ Interesting you found hand painted glass. I use to hand paint glass and sell it. It was really popular for a while.
One of my all time favorite channels! Except I’m a “summer” palette and I always wish I were a redhead (like my sister and two granddaughters!) when I see Elise’s clothes. 😢 I’ve said this before, but Elise! I really think you should master alterations and sewing. You would love it so much! It’s a wonderful, satisfying, meditative skill and a lovely way to spend some time. Maybe in 2024 you’ll hunt down a grandma or seamstress who used to have a tailoring job and get her to mentor you!! It would change your entire perspective on the expertise you’ve attained with clothing and fabrics. The only other comparisons I personally experienced were when I started learning to play drums (thank you, hubby) after having played music all my life. Actually playing the drums changed everything about how I understood music. And when I started growing vegetables and fruits myself, it changed everything about cooking. My theory is if you learn some basic clothing construction and alterations, you will have epiphanies. 🥰 xojenny
I bought a sugar decanter almost exactly like that at a yard sale once. I don't put sugar in coffee or tea, so I gave it to my sister. Both of us really like rosemaling. Speaking of your content, I still remember a couple years ago when you were doing vlogmas and would open your advent calendars and scratch off the lottery ticket (lol!) every day. For some reason I enjoyed watching that so much. Last year I bought an advent calendar that's a wooden house of drawers. I bought it from Amazon and painted it myself. I was seeing my husband for the first time in almost 3 years! He was working overseas and hadn't been able to come back bc of COVID. So I bought little candies, etc and put them in the advent calendar for him. It was hard finding things that were small enough to fit!
The blue three piece was very flattering!! The mens jacket was just the color of your hair (I'm sure you know)!!! I look forward each week to your video and would be so disappointed if you didn't post!
Love watching your thrift shop trips. When people compliment your look, you should give them a card for your shop ! In English the word “ clothes” is pronounced exactly like the verb “to close” (tip from an English teacher) 😘
I always go thrifting for something specific but find everything else... I think this is the essence of thryf thrifting. Last week I went thrifting for fall clothes (cardigans, sweaters, sweater vests) but ended up buying two tank tops and a book.
Elise, please don't panic if your posts are late--we understand that you are a real person with a business and a personal life as well. I feel lucky to have the chance to watch your content whenever it's available!🌹🌹 I understand the dilemma about lighting. The house I bought (we are still not moved in--we still need to have some structural work finished and hope to move in after the holidays) has NO overhead lighting! It was built in 1956 as a midcentury modern ranch house in the USA, and the original wiring is meant for table and floor lamps. I love table and floor lamps, but the kitchen is very dark, with one very small window over the sink. I am going to have an electrician wire the ceiling in it for a ceiling fan with a built-in light fixture, and so I will have to buy a brand new one from a home furnishing store. I am lucky that "cottagecore" is very popular right now here in the United States, and I have several antique-looking lights to choose from. Keep looking, and don't settle for something that doesn't make your heart sing!🏠🏠🍲🍲💖💖😻😻👍👍
Hi Elise!! I was happy to see that you uploaded a video today 💃💃💃 I can see why other women would come up & compliment you. You are so gorgeous & stylish. I love when you go thrifting! I don’t have many where I live. Elise, thank you I received jeweled hat and post cards. It’s even more beautiful in person! Thank you for all your hard work 🫶
Watching your videos in the morning with my baby (10 months old) playing with his toys independently, a coffee in hand. All while the sun rises is one of my favourite things in my week. You are the best thank you for posting 🥰🥰
I always love when thrifting is apart of your videos and seeing what you cook or food you buy that’s different from here in the US. You always look so adorable in your outfits. I’m glad people took the time to compliment you. I hope you have a business card to give to them to come visit your place. I’m always amazed at the furniture for sale at your stores. Hope you can rest and relax today.
Please don't forget to show us the gorgeous burgundy dress on you. It looked like it would fit you. I love everything about it. I hope you have more luck with finding the right lighting for your gorgeous home Elise. ⭐
Tins are always so handy, especially for storing baked goods, Elise.. Lovely finds at the thrift shop, but sorry that you couldn't find something in the way of a light for your home. I live in Scotland so our nights are really long now too. Been trying to light candles in the late afternoon, at least one with a scent. It helps lifts one spirit.
Try a light therapy/happy lamp for your bedroom as a temporary fix. It mimicks the sun rays that can help with serotonin and vitamin D production. I also bought an older house and there are no ceiling lights in the living room so I've had to buy a few table lamps and even a floor lamp. And thanks for the video. Always love seeing notification that you have new video. ❤

I'm glad I'm not the only one out there who sets out to thrift on a mission but ends up coming home with everything but! Sometime's it's simply too hard to say no! Also, Elise. I live vicariously through your thrifting videos. I love when you post them. About 3 years ago now I moved about 4 hours north from where I live now. My favorite thing to do was go thrifting. The thrifting experience was so much better Upstate as the shops were cleaner and the items were well kept. Down where I live again now, the thrift shops are a bit of a rip off. The items are not well kept, smelly, old, and priced really high. I miss it so much! Every 6 months or so I make my way Upstate to have the ultimate thrifting experience but it's not the same as doing myself up for the day and going on an adventure. Your videos give me the same excitement so thank you!!
Beautiful purchases Elise. That blue outfit looks gorgeous on you. Love your videos. I also enjoy your rides through the beautiful countryside on your way to the thrift stores. My daughter and I visit our local thrift stores in Central Florida whenever we get a chance. She always finds nice looking clothes to buy. My granddaughter comes with us too sometimes. She’s 13. She has a good eye too. ❤
I just love how intentional you are about the items you bring into your home🌿 I’ve been learning so much from you and I can’t wait to implement it in my new home🤍 thank you for the weekly inspiration, you’ve made me want to go film the shops now. Have a lovely week!🍂
Elsie, you always seem to find really cute clothes.I love that color blue..hope to see you wear it.WHAT! NO LAMPS?😮. You are funny. I do love the flower picture( round frame) is really cool.🌟👍💞
Your red dresses remind me of my coat dresses from the early 90's in wool, with pretty gold buttons on them. Way too small for me now but I just can't part with them. I had dark raspberry pink, a coral orange short sleeve, and a purple one. Sigh.
Please don’t ever stress about getting a video out. Love all your content. Loved the wine vintage dress and the suede jacket that matches the colour of your hair . You are such a great shopper and I always enjoy going with you vicariously. Oh and I liked the bouquet in the vase in the oval wood frame❤

ohh my goodness that jacket with the gold trim that didnt close looked STUNNING on you! it could be just a easy diy to fix, I think you should go back and get that one before someone else snatches it up!
I love thrifting. You can find such interesting things. Also I live in a different country than what I grew up in so I learn alot about my host country's history, culture and style from shopping in the thrift stores.😊
Hi Elise, I look forward to your videos ea week. You are so warm and pleasant, and such a beautiful woman inside and out. The love for life really shines through in your videos. Thank you for sharing with all of us!❤️🙏
I love when you go thrifting... am the same way....go with a list and every once in a while l actually get something from it!😂 As always you are a bright spot in my week!❤
Great finds Elise, I love going thrifting with you. I hope a lighting company sponsors you so that you can get some ceiling lights. Your videos are inspiring me to get my life sorted and sort out my house which should be like a little palace.
Have you thought about buying new lamps for your home? Maybe mixing in a few new lamps for the winter and then phase them out with the vintage ones you find.
I'm so glad that you got the blue outfit! That is one of the most beautiful outfits I've ever seen on you! You looked amazing in it! Good luck finding lamps. It is difficult, but every lamp I have has been thrifted or been given to me. My faves are my Grandmother's that are huge and from the 1940s! I thought were real opal when I was little. When she gave them and her opal ring to me I cried! I'm in an old home with a tons of natural light and ceiling fans in the bedrooms ... I live in the South! The other lighting in the house is too overpowering to keep on. I keep lamps on in most rooms, because I hate walking around in the dark. You'll find them... just keep looking. A few tips ... taller lamps for the bedside if you like to read or work in bed. Too short and they'll not shed light where you want them. Also, a tall lamp at your vanity, so the light will diffuse down on your face and work area. A lighted magnifying side mirror is a nice addition for detail work. Floor lamps are my go to in main living areas, typically in a back corner so they shed light from behind rather that in line of sight. I have one in the back corner of my dining room that comes on with a timer. That was a regular floor lamp that I converted by adding a stained glass "Tiffany style" shade. I keep another two in my living room. One, I light up behind where I sit at night on lowest of three way bulb. I turn on both on high light when cleaning and low light when entertaining. I keep a lamp in my kitchen that comes on with a timer, so I may easily navigate in the evening. I keep a tall lamp with a small bulb in the bathroom to serve as a night light. I have salt lamps in each bedroom and the living room that serve as soft lighting (and air cleaning) when I get up during the night! It's all about nuance and function that disguises the practicality. I live alone and have Furbabies at my feet constantly. I find the lighting I've selected is beautiful and relaxes me. I hope you find the same. I know what you choose will be perfect!
That striking blue ensemble looks fantastic on you! I’m so glad you got it, Elise. And the orange mens jacket goes so well With your beautiful hair! And I loved the trench coat-especially the lining. Going to see if I can become a member now.

Your videos give me the same excitement so thank you!!
That powder blue is so classy and the color looks absolutely stunning on you
Your collection of clothes was beautiful 🤗👍
Great video & as went thrifting as well🤗🍰☕🌹💐🌹
Love Sue❤❤❤🇬🇧❤❤❤
A wonderful video this week!
Loved it all
The bag in the beginning shot while getting a mug is beautiful.
I look forward to your uploads and have been enjoying your content for years…your home and your gardens are beautiful and your vintage style is perfection 🇨🇦
ohh my goodness that jacket with the gold trim that didnt close looked STUNNING on you! it could be just a easy diy to fix, I think you should go back and get that one before someone else snatches it up!
THE DRESS IS PERFECT ......MY FAVOURITE COLOUR !
I realy liked the blue and white lamps you showed in the begining, totaly my style.

As always you are a bright spot in my week!❤
The lamp at 12.53 is an abacus lamp. Abacus er kugleramme, dem som vi brugte i skolen i gamle dage til matematik😀
Great finds Elise, I love going thrifting with you. I hope a lighting company sponsors you so that you can get some ceiling lights. Your videos are inspiring me to get my life sorted and sort out my house which should be like a little palace.
Hi Elise. Love the blue skirt and jacket. They look great with your hair colour
Oo re candles on your glass table, pop a cork or other mat under them. I had candles heat up on the base and almost crack a glass table!
I’m home sick from work and enjoying getting caught up on a few of your videos! You are always so calming and interesting! ☺️💜
Have you thought about buying new lamps for your home? Maybe mixing in a few new lamps for the winter and then phase them out with the vintage ones you find.
that blue outfit s is a wonderful color for you with your hair & eyes
Love the Grey trench ❤
Love love love those blue ans white lamps for my bedroom
I love your personality and that you know how to enjoy your time alone. Your beautiful inside and out. 🌻
I always look forward to your videos ❤️🌻🎉
Always happy when I see a new Elise video 🥰
Thank you so much ! 🥰
The Detective coat looked fantastic on you.
I am always looking forward to your videos. You work very hard to keep us entertained but don't compromise your health for it.
