Some extra info:
-the festival is 4 days in total, this is one of 3 shows they play at the end of ever day. The friday Spotlight and sunday Closing Ritual shows are also epic, definitely worth the watch.
It has 400.000 visitors over the weekend and 70.000 per day.
The festival is in Biddinghuizen, next to Walibi Holland (2nd biggest theme park of the netherlands). It used to be a Six Flags park back in the day. The rollercoaster is the Goliath and is 45m high.
The Efteling is more like the Disney of Europe, themed to fairytales and old folklore.
Most of the songs that were used in this endshow were new and played for the first time during this finale. Currently they are all released too. (On Q-dance channel)

All the endshows and closing rituals from previous years are insane too, 2023 and 2022 in particular.
There is a dayshow called The Power Hour, which is 1 hour of madness. The 2024 version is not officially uploaded yet, but the 2023 show is.
All the shows are on the Q-dance youtube channel. The 1 hour dj sets from the festival (which were during daytime) are also slowly all getting uploaded on their channel.

The ending ritual is definitely something to behold in person. especially after 3 days of binge drinking, hearing hardstyle 24/7 and consuming other substances that make you taste the colors of the fireworks.
Sadly couldn't attend this year but defqon is always a blast.

I’ve wanted to suggest this for a while I’ve been to defqon 1 for the last 3 yrs In a row from 2022-2024 it’s amazing
Dutch festivals are something else I used to go to Parkzicht in to early 90s and Mystery Land in the late 90s. Especially the later and current festivals draw more people then most of our cities have in population. Burt it is the birthplace of modern EDM, our second biggest export... most of the top 20 EDM DJs in the world are Dutch. Defcon are usually harder styles...

Fun Fact you are talking like efteling is our version of Sig Flags, but the theme park you are looking at used to be a Six Flags. Until Walibi took over in 2005. Until this day it's called Walibi Holland.

Last one I was at was the 15th anniversary. Was a great experience, I find myself in the videos sometimes in the front row.
Power hour which is a time frame show at the event is one that can be fun to watch.

Its an open ticket, this is mainstage (Red) there are 10 stages in total
I've been twice, if you enjoy a hardstyle rave it's definitely up there.
In the same region. You should really check out Tomorrowland in Belgium. The 2019 aftermovie is one of the craziest things I've seen. I was there 😀

Its in Biddinghuizen. Walibi flevo. I was there it was awesome. And you can walk everywhere. There is a vip area. Thats 125 euro. DayTicket cost 90 euro. Ist all worth it next day my ears were still beeping😂😂

Good video!!. Friends defqon.1 is impressive and unique in the world, I have been very lucky to go to the festival these last 2 years 2023 and 2024 and I just want to say that if you can go! Because it will be the most incredible festival you have ever been to in your lives! I'm not joking! I don't know if this can be surpassed defqon! Being there in the middle makes your soul vibrate!!
That's funny you mention Six Flags, it used to be called Six Flags Holland, now it's called Walibi Holland. Ironically enough, not in Holland but in the province of Flevoland near the town of Biddinghuizen in the municipality of Dronten.

Have been there this year and to be honest was quite a bit dissapointed by this years endshow and closing. The previous one were superior in my opinion. But hey, lets see whats in for us in 2025 ... hopefully they improve after this years edition. For the 25th Defqon I expected somewhat more. Despite the Mainstage design was awesome and a great homage.
Love what you guys said about the phones - my camera roll from this event is full of funny, great moments with my friends and new friends from all over the world. I have barely any footage of the actual acts. Living in the moment during this end show, surrounded by so many beautiful people, a feeling of pure love and unity. There’s no feeling like it! 🥹

14:39: Imo being in the center is the best. Because of the fireworks around you, it feels incredibly immersive. They started doing it maybe 2,3 years ago and it is next level.
Tip: check out Power Hour, it’s also a insane production and there is nothing like it at any other festival.
