Ever thought about doing a catch can on the passenger valve cover vent tube? You really don't want to risk oil going back through the intake. I use breathers because I dislike the hoses. I never have a problem because I rotate the breathers with new ones on a regular basis so there is no spray. Your engine looks really nice!
I've seen people do them on the passenger side on these engines but they never seem to get oil from them. The breather cap I have now is baffled so it will not spray any oil out over the engine. The catch can on the drivers side was about 1/2 way full after a few thousand miles.
I deleted the pcv and now run breathers when I started running 20 plus psi. Even with the eaton there was always oil inside my intake tube, I couldnt stand it. I do run wristbands to cover the breathers if I know Im going to be driving the car hard.
@@rambro0943 Yeah I run breathers on both sides. When I got the car the intake side hose was connected and when I installed my JLT intake and took the original off, there was condensed oil residue inside my throttle body. Not good for the engine. The higher your boost level is the more oil vapor gets pushed out under hard acceleration. BTW, a company called Spectre sells nice breathers in assorted colors and inexpensive too. They fit perfectly into our valve cover grommets and need no clamps. Spectre is owned by K&n.
Definitely like how it came out i Definitely tried this before and ended up getting a misfire smh never again lol only degreaser and wet towel for me from now on lol
Yeah the first time I sprayed down my engine I didnt know the two plug wells in the back of the engine will collect water. Now I use plastic bags to cover that area along with the fuse box, battery, alternator and belt. Even with all those precautions I still check the plugs for water afterwards.
Looks good! I love that little steam cleaner.
@@OH3REDFIRESVT thing works quite well, I was pleased with it

@@Lethal_Venom It depends on how hard you drive the car. Higher rpms push more oil vapor out of the vent hose.
@@tomkjr1 Yup this is true

For sure brought some life back into that engine bay... 🐍❤ Looking so good!
@@CheesusSVT improved it enough to make it worth the buy
@@Lethal_Venom Love the steam cleaner too! I need to go pick one up.
Looks much better! Definitely worth the $$. Love the carbon fiber Cobra on rear bumper. Looks good with the Sonic Blue
@@ProCharged7.3Godzilla Thanks! I really like the lettering too
Looks good. I wonder if you sprayed some simple green on it and then steamed it if that would help.
@@justin.c_svt That’s a good idea. It wouldn’t hurt. Someday I’ll get the covers powder coated but not anytime soon lol
nice!
Thanks Kyle!

@@RAHSVT well that’s why it needs to be done correctly, don’t get it near the fuse box, alternator or ignition coil covers and it’s perfectly fine
