For size comparisons, I find I like a couple non-knife items (like a bic pen or lighter and a quarter) as something that works for damn near everyone. Especially if you run into odd sized folders that you don't really have a good analogue handy.
That's a great one! I have one of the larger boker kwaikens somewhere. They are very cool looking knives. I'll have to find some use for it. I honestly haven't carried it yet so it's hard for me to judge but it's visually appealing. Great review.
I wanted to add a sleek gentleman’s carry to my collection. I picked up the SMKW Exclusive Kwaiken in Lava Flow Fat Carbon. On mine, the detent and action is perfect. It’s a great flip.
I have the titanium version, and it's a decent knife. The action is a little funky, but otherwise it's good. The "tactical gentleman" comment cracked me up. I imagined someone in an IT departement who secretly dreams of being a spy.
I've been searching for a "gentlemans" style knife...was debating between this and the Civivi Exarch...I was leaning towards this because of the VG-10... you would pick the Exarch, even with the D2? Thanks!
@@WaynesSharpWorld I hear ya...I personally think the front flipper looks a little more classy...we need more sub $120 gentlemen knives offered in S35VN...too many in D2, but I guess for a sub $50 knife, can't really complain

I’ve had so many kwaikens. So many versions including the protech ones. I have the regular air.. and it’s nice man.. super sharp.. not quite as smooth as the og models… like they took the final clean up step out of processing so it’s not as dialed in. But these r better than the ceo by whoever the hell makes it
@@WaynesSharpWorld bro me too. Which is sad cause they do have awesome makers they collab with.. but then just DESTROY the idea with super cheap ass shit.. I agree 100% the only crkt I’ve ever liked was the razel. And they did fixed blades with Williams… the shinbu and hisshou are legit,

There have been so many times where I saw a CRKT collab with a great designer and before I even saw the specs knew it was going to be so disappointing in the execution & materials. What makes it all the more infuriating is that every so often they get it right. A great example is the ken onion ripple framelock in Acuto+, it blew me out of the water and is the only crkt I still have in my collection. Then they release something with terribly treated 8Cr13MoV (which can be a solid steel choice when done right) and I go back to being sad.
I own an all-black Harnds Assassin as well as an all-black Shieldon Empoleon and hesitate bringing them or this Boker Kwaiken Air Mini into an office environment unless the office were a Funeral Home. It is this sinister and evilness that draws me to an all-black, sharpened piece of metal and to have a co-worker beside me fidgeting an all black knife during the work hours that would inspire me to open my mail and clean my nails with a Cold Steel Kurkuri and click my teeth.

It really just depends on which one you enjoy more and do you prefer a front flipper or regular flipper.
