Booker T. Washington White is BB Kings' cousin and helped BB when he came to Memphis. Booker was a lot of fun despite what he survived, he made a record in Chicago in 1940 after a two year term in Parchman Farm, this was considered the last great country blues recording, it is available if you look for it, it includes "District Attorney", Sleepy Man Blues", "When Can I Change my Clothes", it was political. Bukka played in Seattle many times and stayed on a houseboat with a friend he had made. Bukka was larger than life and his music could hypnotize an audience, seriously. I was blessed to know him.
BTW, this was recorded in approx. 1969 at the PBS studio on the Univ. of Washington campus for the Seattle Folklore Society, it wasn't a concert excrpt for those in attendance.
The first song is called Gibson hill , but unfortunately this is the only video on youtube where he plays this song , I did find an other version of this song on Spotify , the album name is "On The Road Again" , in this album he plays along with Furry Lewis and Gus Cannon , I know that i'm a little late :p
im seriously thinking about seeing if i can get a law firm 2 try n block greedy labels from overwriting the rules.after all there was a law passed in 1974 so people can hear music 4 educational purposes n criticism.so we have a right 2 hear it.also how can they undermine musicians they have brought the rights 2 n buy preference on playlists 4 their new signings.c mon back me stop businessmen controlling art in its purest form 4 greed.help make utube 3 4 tru musicians n ensure FREEDOM IN ART.
Some of the labels that block vids are leaving money on the table. Streaming can make them some money. Everybody -- I mean nearly everybody -- comes to YT. If they're blocking stuff, what are they thinking?
their has 2 b a better way, every week labels come on here n block great music being heard cos they claim 2 own the rights, its not gd advertising 4 labels when all u c is removed by umg sony universal warner etc.most people r not even breaking the copyright laws people r not downloading it 4 free,so all these labels r doin is stopping awareness n 3 advertising 4 musicians on their own labels by blocking it.these same labels buy their new signings on2 playlists n r controlling our musical freedom.

John Fahey helped bring him out of retirement and reinvigorate his career
Along with Memphis Minnie and Robert Johnson, my favourite blues singer.
