Alan Wake was such a great game back in the day. The story literally blew my mind. I’m glad it’s still relevant today

For those wondering about why Quantum Break is not mentioned... no, QB is not part of the 'Remedy Connected Universe' (that's Alan Wake + Control, so far).
This is due to the fact that Microsoft owns Quantum Break's rights, making a crossover with AW and Control very difficult, legaly speaking.
Remedy owns both Alan Wake and Control, so they can do whatever they want with them, like put them in the same universe, for example.

BeUgLo97 WRONG! Quantum Break is part of the Remedy Connected Universe, but is not part of the focus. Alan Wake exists as an author in Quantum Break, Night Springs exists in Quantum Break, and AWE is painted all over the game. And Dylan, Jesses brother mentions Shifter Martin Hatch as Mr. Door. BOY YOU ARE SO WRONG, GO CHECK OUT REDDIT.

The Quantum Break stuff you are talking about are just Easter eggs and cheeky nods to the fans, according to Sam Lake himself.
It's like saying The Witcher and Assassin's Creed are part of the same universe just because there's an Assasin Easter egg in The Witcher 2. They're just nods.
QB won't connect to the RCU because Remedy doesn't own the IP, Microsoft does. Remedy can't use that franchise because it doesn't belong to them.
Max Payne and Death Rally aren't part of the RCU either.
Btw in Quantum break both actors of Jesse and Dylan are in it so they can't be two look alike persons in the same universe
yeah it could be problem but unlike sony microsoft is quite open minded towards game devs..i hope they will come to an agreement of some sort.
A few other interesting things:
Sarah Breaker joins the FBC at some point. In the first Alan Wake special, there is a cardboard cutout of Sarah that mentions her joining a secret society that her father was a part of, clearly the FBC.
Mr. Scratch is still alive, and wasn't fully killed in Alan Wake's American Nightmare. Alice Wake reports being haunted by a demonic version of Alan (Mr. Scratch) five years after Mr. Scratch was supposed to be killed.
It's revealed that Alice is escaped and being rehabilitated
While Alan is trapped in the lake with presence have no control over him

There is a segment in the dlc with Alan Wake writing about Jessies actions. Could it be that the Bureau of control and potentially Jessie exist as a result of Alans writing whilst trapped within the dark place? It's possible that Alan Wakes new story "Return" (being written in the dark depths of Cauldron Lake) is simply events taking place in the new Control game with Jessie being his invented main character. Exactly like how Thomas Zane wrote about Alan Wake and the clicker. Anyway, with Alan writing about Jessie and the Bureau of control investigating the paranormal and interdimensional activity Alan has created a link between the real world and the dark place, a link that he could use to escape back to proper reality. Perhaps this is what Thomas Zane meant when he told Alan he was close to escaping the dark place. I may be completely wrong here. Thoughts?

And I didn't realized that Dark Presence and the Hiss are almost the same thing; the extradimensional entities that are unseen, bodiless, and capable of corrupt everything and everyone.

Alan wake and control made Remedy my favorite developer (Also loved max payne 1 and 2). Their games just have this unique atmospheric vibe. I just love it.

They recently confirmed that a bigger sequel to Control and a 4 person co-op spin-off called "Condor" are both in development. Alan Wake 2 are still rumors

Been holding off on Control so can't wait for the next-gen upgradable edition to finally release. Square Enix/Crystal Dynamics did a really amazing job on dissuading me from wasting money on Avengers.

with QB...let's say we can only hope as Microsoft is currently the owner of this game(damn it!). Luckily, it's like 99.9999% that we are going to see mrs.Faden in the next Alan Wake game. Or maybe we will see Wake in the next Control?

This is why control is a great game and a cool homage to the scp foundation
And no mention to the obvious links to *Max Payne* to both Alan Wake and Control? Not only that Max Payne was a "creation" of Alan and one of his best selling novel series he wrote, which we found numerous clues and easter eggs in Alan Wake, like the actual books in Alan's New York home and finding script pages that quote Max Payne monologues and are even narrated in Max's original voice, but also does Dylan tell us in Control that there was "a cop who was written by a writer, but that cop was actually real" was a direct reference to both universes. Kinda weak that the makers of this video didn't know this.

we are getting in 2022, the ending in the AWE dlc of Control says they received a distress signal from Bright falls from the future and Alan wake says he will escape.

I did not play Alan Wake, back in the day. I'm hesitant to go back to older games. I'm often disappointed. I did NOT really like Quantum Break and I think that's why I was skeptical of Control. That and the reviews were kind of lukewarm for Control, but I REALLY liked Control a lot. I voted GOTY for Sekiro on Steam, but it was a tough decision. RTX ON.
Alan wake is a masterpiece In my opinion it’s slow at first but gets more interesting and then the climax is the best part just stick with it to the end it won’t disappoint you

Quantum Break is owned by Microsoft, so unless Remedy plans on buying those rights (which I doubt) we won't see QB's world crossover with Alan Wake's and Control's.
They're different universes.
The reason this "Remedy Connected Universe" thing is possible it's because Remedy owns both Alan Wake's and Control's IP's, so they have total control (no pun intended) over them.
Remedy has already announced that their next game in development will be part of the RCU as well.
