You do not need to recover the freon or remove the ac lines i will not be following your advice on how to do this job properly. The way he is doing this job is putting the new radiator at risk of getting a hole in it all because he doesn't want to remove the air box and fan assembly he is just cutting corners that will cause damage to your cooling and AC system.
I did notice today that the bottom passenger side of my radiator between the metal and the plastic which is below the drain plug started leaking so I knew the radiator was going bad but it's kind of weird how mine started to leak right after I changed the whole cooling system from above like t-shape, hoses and the thermostat and everything. I think it's due to since I put all brand new parts on and it's got its its pressure back where it needs to be. I'm guessing the original radiator just couldn't handle it

Why does the video say you need to drain your ac freon in the intro?
Can't believe you have to open the AC system to swap the radiator.

i was able to do this job without removing the fan or draining the AC. believe in yourself and you can do it too
That looks nothing like what my 2014 F150 Lariat looks like.
