That description about how it was like when first tapping into the power was exactly the same for me. How little things/coincidences just started to work in my favour and things just start to go right. Great share Bob, thank you

I identify so much with what he says being filled with ego I'm swearing at off in just to do it again, praise God the one that he didn't believe him and loved him he's been sober and helping so many people for so long, I'm 60 years old have two days, on my way to a a gig I can drink all night for free Empty Me of self- fill me with your spirit give me wisdom give me strength to get home sober may I have the opportunities to share hope somebody else tomorrow God bless us all 40:14

I very much enjoy listening to Bob, he explains his journey through his life and the steps very well, I was glad to meet him when he came to the UK 🇬🇧 a few years ago. God bless you all ✝️

So funny about the business meeting, I usually have to pray for my fellow AAs after the business meeting and inventory. A business meeting can really bring out some of our best character defects in no time.

Love from a man in another fellowship with a similar dilemma and a similar solution. One of these days AA and NA will have a one day joint convention almost like when the British and German Militaries played Soccer for one night during WW1. Hahaha

Alcoholism is a form of idolatry, as is any addiction. Anything we are using besides God to meet or medicate deep heart needs is an idol. When we rely on ourselves, someone else, or something else to meet our needs for value, worth, or significance, we have erected an idol that takes the place of the real God in our lives. God views it as such and has strong words for idol worshipers (Exodus 20:3; 34:14; 1 John 5:21; 1 Corinthians 12:2). Alcoholism is not a disease; it is a choice. God holds us accountable for our choices (Romans 14:12; Ecclesiastes 11:9; Hebrews 4:13).
Followers of Christ should strive to love their neighbors as themselves, regardless of the problems or addictions those neighbors may have (Matthew 22:29). But contrary to our modern idea that equates love with tolerance, real love does not tolerate or excuse the very sin that is destroying someone (James 5:20). To enable or excuse alcohol addiction in someone we love is to tacitly participate in their sin.

I’m understanding a very specific point of view here. Do you REALLY know, above the research specialists? should a follower of religion REALLY JUDGE? Have you been through this individual’s shoes? Also, this program is NOT RELIGIOUS so is there a real use to quote the bible here ?
