      The 3 black kids can be thought of as the positive message relating to the stereotype of black kids being more likely to be suspected of being criminals. America's societal problems has this racist belief in the back of the mind with majority of Americans.
      So many young black kids with no rather figures or guidance end up in a life of crime but still become prominent influential individuals. This can be seen in rap music.
      The message is to show that if these black kids are given love and guidance. They can raise themselves and become productive positive influences rather than negative.
      Perhaps America should focus on fixing its prisons systems so recidivism is low and provide more economic equality for poor black kids with single fathers so they dont feel pressured to take illegal risks.

      @@jabbadabba1978 Look up the statistics of unsolved homicides. Majority of cases are unsolved.
      Police in America patrol poor to medium income neighborhoods at a higher frequency. Majority of white Americans don't live in poor neighborhoods.
      The racial disparity is due to a justice system that is unable to prosecute wealthy criminals. Examples, can be seen countless times on sentencing to even ability to conclude investigations for individuals from wealthy backgrounds.
      Even rich rappers can get a presidential pardon like lil Wayne was given by Donald Trump. The system respects only money.
      Criminals who operate without suspicion cause more damage than the obvious suspect. It's the white guy selling a bunch of stolen firearms to another state that is the culprit for the chaos in Southside Chicago. But this white guy won't get consequences because the police system is set up only to apprehend the low level criminals in Chicago.
      Blaming behavior due to correlation is inefficient. Causation is due to facts which can be studied. Policies should not be based off assumptions and blame.
      But perhaps, there is zero interest to actually change anything. If you are the rich racist white guy. Then it appears the system is perfect. The majority of blacks live in poor and sometimes middle class neighborhoods. They are subjected and preyed upon criminal gangs. Then you also have a police system that oppressed them more and encourages them to be criminals. You would likely also be the same white guy selling the guns to ensure the criminal gangs maintain their dominance in these neighborhoods.

    What I love most about them is that they are smart enough to recognize he's _not_ their father, yet their real father and mother left them behind in the care of a man who had all the reason (if not the right) to be mean to them in retribution for what their real father had done to him.
    Yet what did he do? Never once did he look at them as anything but his brilliant sons, whom he loves. It didn't matter to him. They didn't want them, he did, and they *know* that. Will *DEFEND* him for that!
    Amazing!

    • @landonletterman831
      @landonletterman831 2 ปีที่แล้ว +31

      Even more that he raised *THREE KIDS* in a single income home as a lone parent on a cop's salary, _holy crap_ the corners that man cut for himself so his kids could have the Christmas gifts, birthday gifts, educational material that interested them, and *FOOD!*
      _Look at the size of them,_ and I'm not even talking about the large ones! The muscle bound son will be eating just as much as the large guys will!
      The thing I love about them the most is that, though I don't think it expressly stated it in the movie, they're smart enough to recognize he's not their biological father, and even though they may not know who their biological father really is, they don't care. As far as they care, this man has struggled alone to raise 3 kids that aren't his, yet never looked at them with anything but love in his eyes or treated them like anything but *his* sons.
      Hands down my favorite characters in this movie, every scene with them is a treat for the soul (watching them realize their dad is in trouble and spring into action without care of the consequences, especially when he comes home and they've _actually_ built a flying machine!)

    as a Canadian, I'm unreasonably happy that he gave the diameter first in metric. I hated having to do conversions to imperial in school because the reasoning behind the unit divisions makes no sense once you've been conditioned to decimal measurement.

      Well, luckily, most calculators on cellphones will do conversions for you so you can grab a mounty and incubate your egg, sir.

    The fact they did something like that instead of just filling him in proves they are geniuses. Sure they can hurt him by putting a foot up his ass but he will recover. Now what they did instead was cause psychological trauma which is much harder to recover from, every time that police officer ever contemplates revenge he is going to remember and every time he remembers he will decide it’s not worth angering these 3 men

    • @chief2e1
      @chief2e1 ปีที่แล้ว

      Psychological trauma even more when the cops arrived and saw what had happened prior to their arrival.
