If u are excited about IGF, i guess u would love programming a Mazak. But nice to see someone who shows, there is much more work to do as just pressing a button. GJ!

Mazak definitely has a nice, easy, intuitive interface.
But most of the other manufacturers have caught up now.
It seems more common these days that shops try to bypass this intuitive programming and prefer to use CAM for even the easiest of operations.
      Of course, this isn't everyone.
But I have noticed a big change to programming this way, especially in the last 10 years.
I'm sure you have noticed something similar 👍

@@weldmachine We use cam programming too, but the Mazatrols have a big advantage. If u have to change a detail, it takes u seconds instead going back to the cam - pc.
Yes, i saw the modern IGF AOE(?) from Okuma, and i know shopturn and shopmill from Siemens. But Mazatrol still makes a lot of things much better and faster. I do a lot of 5 axis parts in Matrix and Smooth every day. OFC, Mazatrol also has some flaws, like any other CNC too.

@@renetr6771 Not sure IF you have seen the newer Smooth controller from Mazak ?
      Smooth Ai ?
A mate purchased a new Integrex i300 with this option.
      It's pretty amazing.
You basically import your CAD file into the controller and the controller creates a CAM program that converts to an on screen program ready to run right in front of you in a few minutes.
It is a little slower on more detailed parts, but it's still fairly quick.
You can edit, add and alter the program like a normal controller.
But the controller generates the whole program and considers what tools to use from the tool library.
I like the Siemens ShopTurn controller.
I wanted to add this to the DN Solutions / Doosan Lathe I purchased a couple years ago.
      But ???
The price to add this controller instead of a Fanuc Guide i was an extra
      10k ??
And I needed to wait at least 12 months for the machine ???
      The 10k was bad enough.
But, I didn't want to wait 12 months for the machine ??

Sure miss slinging chips. I was machinist for 10 years. I programmed and run mazak 5 axis and programmed via mazatrol at the machine conversation code .
