Difference is, these loops can be broken by freeze, the problem loops were the ones that couldn't be frozen and that triggered with zero cooldown. (When you shield haste + when you haste shield + when you haste poison = 3k poison in about 4 seconds with no way to break the loop)

Like freeze just prevents the cool down from moving but if it charges past cool down I think it still triggers Edit: yeah if you look around 7:20 it looks like the racecar triggers through freeze, so freeze doesn't really break charge loops
Tbh, i think putting no freeze on the core might've been the play? Would help starting the engine, and keep a pretty powerful source of heal. Plus, charge works through freeze so race car would be proccing regardless, so putting freeze protection on it really only hurts ya there.
honestly theres some things about the patch that are good, dooley is feeling a lot better for example, but there's some things that are glaring mistakes. Pufferfish is even better than before, crook regal blade and yoyo are still busted, and some of the nerfs have made some items like aiden feel really bad so now dooley has no good healing items to counter poison. Plus the ability to get a bunch of gold while giving something huge amounts of poison or burn on level up. Slowing down speed leveling doesnt really do much if leveling up gives you twice as good rewards as it used to. But regardless still fun, just some things that need to be fixed next patch
Hey i have a question regarding pufferfish, is it better because it's now a charge/active item or because of like you said all the level up options giving a looot of stats ? I clearly see that it is not worse than before but i don't get why, on paper he should proc less poison
@@zerzo7223 on paper it should be worse yes but now the difference is that when it procs it's counter as being USED. This is both a double edged sword, as it can be frozen and slowed, but can also synergize and loop with more other items. Anything that says "when you use an aquatic item" did not used to activate upon pufferfish poisoning because it was a passive effect, but now because it counts as being used, all of these effects apply and VERY fast, some of which can cause infinite loops that break the game, like how 2 yoyos used to activate each other and do infinite damage very fast, you can make these sorts of things happen with pufferfish, plus the previously mentioned increases to poison, to do hundreds of poison in the first few seconds of combat that will only go up and up. I've seen people with 50+ poison pufferfish in very early days, the floor for pufferfish is worse for sure because in theory if you have a bad comp it procs less, but the ceiling of pufferfish is now so high that it's hard to beat a pufferfish without just a better pufferfish or some absolute god tier unspeakable run

@@retypartccqaa4829 That's not really what he said. Anything that was "When you use aquatic/friend" procs with pufferfish on top of everything that already did do it. That, on top of being easier to scale the poison, on top of being able to scale crit is the buff. It's not just the aquatic package, it's the fact that you can do a hybrid of old school puffer and the aquatic package. It's just more flexible. You can build it with way more items than before, while scaling him with level. The only downside is the fact that you can be frozen or stopped by chronobarrier, but that's a small price to pay.
Take the time to think about decisions. There's no rush, it's essentially a PvE game. Radiant absolutely should have gone on the core instead of that useless burn lol. You're a weapons build that's reliant on haste for the scaling, and your main source of fast haste got freeze locked in the last fight.
My hottest take on the bazaar is they should remove the common freeze perks. Like no more "freeze on first poison" or "freeze on first slow" You should have to work to add freeze to your build instead of it being a freeze RNG check that can either win or lose a round purely based which item it hits
Same thing happened to me tonight, belle-ista and race Carl, companion core, and had monitor lizard with corrosive poison so nobody had damage, then I had alarm clock and powder horn to increase opponents cds, all diamond tier and mostly enchatnted. Then i died on my last day to a 12k sky scraper pyg
They need to do something about pufferfish or make it harder for Vanessa to get 4 different f-ing freeze skills. Every build that you lose to in those fast games is made fast pufferfish with infinite freeze and it sucks to watch.
Bought the game just when they released the update and I'm having a terrible experience so far after about 15 games. Love the game, but I CANT get more than ~5 wins. After 4 or 5 days everyone has a broken combo that poison you for 600 in 6s or just one shot you, and playing perma piggy doesnt help at all...

@@DiscardedLeaf It may just be that charge is animation capped but the built up triggers continue to play while the card is frozen.

It is, but puffer isn't even the problem. It's the 20+ poison you get from levelling up. Just as broken as the crit buff level rewards..
