There are so many incredible Gospel and R&B songs. Obviously, my people created. But I like Negroe spirituals. Which is before those. It is one of the oldest music genres my ancestors created. Because they sang about their pain. I'm not a Christian. I keep the laws of the Torah. In other words, I'm a virgin daughter of the Holy One of Israel. I'm from the tribe of JUDAH or YAHUDAH. Also, I don't label myself or my people as "African Americans". Because we are NOT Africans 😂🤡 Negroes are the ORIGINAL Hebrews. But still, I love listening and learning more about this forgotten genre. "The African American spiritual (also called the Negro Spiritual) constitutes one of the largest and most significant forms of American folksong," according to a Library of Congress 2016 article. Spirituals were originally oral, but by 1867 the first compilation, entitled "Slave Songbook", was published. "Swing low, Sweet chariot" is probably one of the most popular Negroe Spirituals song.
