I'm on this chanel for half an hour, but I already can see your beautiful beautiful work and I like the things that you are making. I wish you more great projects and more people who will follow and be interested in your work ;)
Very different and very cool. I’m always astounded by the amount of time and effort you put into your creations and you can definitely see it in the outcome. Great work!
If you wanted to get a good deep stamping on hot steel you could cut your stamp short and well it to a small piece of angle iron. Put that angle iron over your vice jaw and simply press the touch mark into the blade without using a hammer or anything. Although since you're using it on leather too this takes away some versatility. Maybe you've thought of this, I just thought it might be helpful. Great work.
Excellent video this is how I am making my first stamp, I had the unfortunate experience of spending about 8 hours dremeling and filing, and getting it to 95% and realizing I forgot to mirror it :( great reminder.
Great job! I love the little creative elements you put into the editing! Like the snap to get the fire going, it seems trivial but I think it really adds to the video without taking up too much time. I've been trying to make a maker's maker's for my armor, do you think a case hardened mild steel would do the job?
I think I would take a different approach. Your stamp is OK for a leather stamp but to mark steep items I don't think it is optimal. I think that the cutting edge needs to be sharper to require less force to make a stamp. I would start with a piese of flat ground tool steel in the anealed state. Make up the artwork you want and have it engraved into the plate using a V shaped cutter. Next harden and temper the engraved plate. When you want to make the stamp, size a piece of tool steel and heat only the tip and quickly place the blank over the mark and hammer. The result will give you a stamp that will be even and sharp that you can harden and temper. That will give you a stamp that you can duplicate easily and will allow you to stamp your product cold, and get a clear and crisp impression. If you wanted to make a hot stamp with a wider stamping face, take the cold stamp and grind off the sharp face a bit.. This stamp could be used cold on leather if you wanted also. Now you can make as many stamps as you need in the future off the master die.
you are a promising craftsman... may i suggest a little thing? Use a piece of steel underneath your cutting chisel so that your old anvil will last longer. :)
Excuse me, i just want to know. Which steel did you use? Because tried it with sweet steel (AISI 1020) and it was a time and materials total loss. Thanks
If I may jump in here....you need a higher carbon steel. Coil springs, sucker rods, 4140, 5150/60, W1, O1, H13, etc. Something with enough carbon for you to be able to heat treat (harden and temper).
O shoo I am subbed to way too many channels with similar content... lol. Now everything makes sence. Btw love **your** vids and I also got inspired by some. Lastly, I really love that you are good at forging, wood working and even leather working, the only recommendation i have for you is to try out stone carving! (Maybe even try to make a handle of some sort of stone)
I never get tired of how you light a fire
Looks very professional. If someone showed me this, I would probably assume that it was made by someone who specializes in making stamps :D
Yay. Another video. Nice job. I love the animations. Every time I watch your videos I always smile
I love your videos!! Please, never stop to make videos

the second one with your initials looks awesome.
Thank you! I think so too.

Thank you!
I love your forge, thanks for the video
Man, this is great. Good job. I really enjoy your videos.
Best bit of info I also been thinking of how they made a maker's mark before electric etching. Thx

I didn't know it was as simple as you showed.
Thanks.
You're welcome
What the check??!! I just made my first touchmark yesterday and then you upload this, that's a weird coincidence.

Great job! I'm curious, how much do you charge if I want to make one for my initial? Let me know, thanks.
Very cool. Was wondering how those were made.
:)
treadle air pump? got plans for that?
Very nice!! What do you look for when heating the touch mark? Thanks!!
Love the editing, keep it up!
You seem to be good as an artist of sorts.
Dude amazing work!!
Great work 😃! Hvad for noget stål bruger du 🙂?

What are those dremel bits you use to carve out the hole in the R?
Tungsten dremel bits me thinks.
Very nice 👍
Could you make a video about your forge set up and how you made it? That'd be awesome!
Harrison Frederick already did
Really well done man👍

don't have any experience with case hardening but if it's just as hard a normal hardened steel, I don't see anything wrong with it. Thanks!
Most Excellent 👌
Haha - do we have the makings of a new This Old Tony?
I been wanting to make one for my touch mark
That's a nifty wee project
I would like to know how you made that wheel pumper thing
for your coal forge
What steel were you using for the stamps?
I have a question. Where did u buy your belt sander? im a dane too, so maybe dba or something else? :) Great vid man!
Pretty nice. Keep up with your videos please 😊
now i really want one for my LW projects aswell xD But I'm a lazy sod so I'll try to cut it out with dremel
Well done. 👍

That is what the bench of the anvil is for.
thank you
Awesome vid
MC is my initials and I didn’t even realise until you said you were going to make one with your initials 😂
Love your video
Gracias maestro

What steele are you using?
Great project for our Hell's Forge USA customers!
What type of bit did you use to get the interior of your initials? Thank you!
How Do you do this awesome oxigen pedal for your forge?
It's called a field forge. They're fairly common, used mostly by farriers.
Is it steel or iron ? Good video.
steel.
Make N' Create thanks a lot
so cool!

4:00 RIP headphone users.

Hello

Make N' Create are you going to use this in future videos
You bet!
Just found this vid, my touch mark is also a backwards R and a forward E... If your first name is Enoch I'm gonna crap...

The way you cut that metal makes me cringe.
