You are the man, great camera work, great explanation, and a nice clear voice not being drowned out my music and background noise. One of the best mechanic videos I've seen.
Thank you very much, I tough was my ac compressor, but just right after watch your video and check all the relays and voila, one was bad i replaced w a new one and now ac works fine and you can hear the kick on and off on the compressor.
What about if the blower fans in the cabin turn on and off? Are there fuses or relays that can point to that as well? Trying to look for a schematic or layout
NEED ASSISTANCE!! If you pause this video at 1:46 ...could someone please tell me what is in the smaller square black box located directly to the left of the under hood fuse box? it is to the left of the 50/50 fuse in a completely different little box thingy...it opens up just like the main fuse box and it contains just 2 "relays" inside it. one is an omron and the other is a taller grey "MITSUBA RC V12 1T"?? Does this have to be replaced with a MITSUBA or not?? Also there is a small square located directly to the left his finger, and to the right of the 40 fuse...it does contain a very tiny two pronged "thing" in it, but IDK what it is and I cannot find what these are on any diagrams or pictures. HOPING SOMEONE reads this and responds please please please.....
If I put in a new relay for the condenser fan and the fan kicked on for a second and then stopped what could that be ? Also I used the spare 7.5 amp fuse after
My ac was blowing only hot air as well. I have an ‘05 Acura TL. Mechanic quoted me $1200…I watched a TH-cam video and swapped the relay (which did nothing), I then changed that 7.5 a/c fuse with a new one after swapping it with one in the fuse box and felt cold air again after months with hot air only. I bought a pack of the fuses from autozone for about $4.99 and replaced the old one, and now it’s blowing cold air again.
On a TL 2005 that seems to go from 12.65v to 12.40v overnight with the hands free link already disconnected and amp draw .05 with clamp meter after latching doors and hood and waiting an hour. What else could be at fault? Battery is under one year old.
Hey man, quick question. If the compressor is spinning & the relay & fuse is gd what else may be the issue? If the system isn't charged all the way would that cause it not to kick over? Thx man
If the compressor clutch engages the very next thing to check is the high and low side pressures. The system could be undercharged or the compressor may not be creating enough of a pressure differential due to internal damage or a slipping clutch.
It’s the hands free link. Same kept happening with mine. After many deep reads, finally found the answer on Honda/Acura forums by others that had the same trouble but spent tons to find that answer. I took my car to a local mechanic, read him what was said, he removed the fuse above and sure enough.. that was the cause. Has been two years since and not once a dead battery
@@nicpic5750 I removed my hands free link but the battery seems to go from 12.65v to 12.40 overnight. It hasnt died yet but I'm driving almost every day. Have you measured your voltage since? I wonder if the hands free link wrecked my battery, its under 1 year old.
Tapped on the compreasor relay like you said and my AC started to work again. I cancled the appointment with the mechanic. Thanks!
