I don't think you understand teruhashi, she was pretty mean at first, but it was IN HER HEAD, people say mean or weird things in their head all the time, and knowing how much praise she was raised with for being perfect and all the crowds around her all the time expecting her to be perfect, it could be hard to trust people and be friends and have relationships and maybe she felt overwhelmed, and by the end of the show saiki knew that too, in the end teruhashi learned and would do anything for her friends, making saiki say what he said just tells me you haven't even finished season 1.
I honestly think that satou x saiki is reasonable and completely okay, but partly seems a bit weird, technically the creators confirmed that saiki is aroace or asexual. But overall, i respect and fw people that ship them. But i think platonic seems better.
