Juuzou D. Lagann I have actually seen all ENDINGS with any oter character, and only with Mikan he actually want to marry. Others either friendzone him or just mildly express wanting to date him or only give him hope for something more. Even with Chiaki he is in more frinedly terms than romantic. I think Mikan did suppose to be his main partner. However i don't think either anime or the game will reveal it. DR 3 suppose to be something competely unrelated to the previous games and anime will only mention their past before they got into the island simulator.
Hajime and Chiaki are my OTP, but this is definitely my second favorite pairing. Mikan has been through so much awful stuff her entire life. She was abused at home and bullied at school, people made fun of her, made her feel completely worthless, humiliated her, and physically harmed her with things like cigarettes and darts. Nobody deserves that kind of treatment. In fact, it's all because of that shit that she ended up becoming a member of the Ultimate Despair. The only reason she had that little Yandere moment was because she was afraid the one guy who treated her with kindness in literally her entire life would leave her. She seriously needs a happy, positive influence in her life and Hajime would be a great guy for her. I mean, he knows her 50 days and offers to marry her in the future and ensure no one will ever hurt her again.
This ending really hits home more than any other. She was so emotionally damaged and unstable that even after forgetting about the despair it came back just of the thought of not being able to be with him. My brain doesn't allow me to see the island mode as the alternate reality, because i just feel like I need Mikan to be safe and protected. I'm glad she found Hajime.
Its not the UD coming back, she was already a bit mentally unstable. IIRC in Danganronpa S USC Mikan has a scene with Korekiyo where she offers to nurse her sister and Mikan says sometjing along the lines of "I like to nurse people because in that state they are weaker than me" in crazy mode, and Korekiyo gets tense and denies her help
I kinda stopped after mikan died cause she was the main reason why I liked the game besides the story, so the game tends to get boring for me to watch after her execution
Hajime's voice actor Johnny yong bosch and Mikan's voice actor Stephanie sheh have a long history voicing many anime characters who are lovers or have romantic interest with one another such as Ichigo and orihime from Bleach and a lot of others anime's too
Lol this ship feels like a direct parallel to Naekawa, from the character design to their backstory and trauma, and their obsession with a love interest that is both abusive and manipulative, it would make sense that this ship is logical like Naekawa and i feel like it's such a shame that the fandom just chose to completely ignore these 2 ship, luckily the Naekawa fandom is very dedicated and the game also give Toko the most FTE with Makoto too, so i feel bad for this DR2 ship :v

(Look how quickly he turned on Hajime in Chapter 4 after finding out he was a Reserve Course Student, after crushing on him for the entire previous game)
Hajime finally grew a pair and asked her for a future marriage. This is the only ending there are no other endings just this one. And the canon ending because Mikan is happy and will be loved forever and ever. I am glad your happy Mikan and you must stay happy
