Thanks for posting these videos. Ive just gotten back into Whitewater Canoeing, and fishing from canoe. Bought an Esquire pocket Canyon, which is a nice white\water boat. I don't know who you are, but must say, your skills and grace paddling is something to behold. You have amazing skills brother.
Thank you very much for your very nice comment. Pocket Canyon is the best canoe for white water! I am happy to be able to communicate with people all over the world through canoeing. Please keep watching my videos!
Hello, I just came back from a canoe trip in the gorge de l’Ardèche in France. It is a beginner river, I had a bad plastic boat model name INCA which put us in a delicate situation when the water started to fill it up while passing rapids, up to the points the boat got stock under water against the big block. We went in the water and I got trap underwater between the boat and the rock. While my wife was holding on the rock and my dog floating away. When I look at the video I can see lots of water getting in the canoes 🛶 why are the not filling up? Is there a self water evacuation system in those canoe? Beside this little bit scary event we really liked it and we wants to get our own boat. So I am curious about which one to choose?
Hello! Thank you for your comment! The Ardèche Valley is a very beautiful place. It seems that you had a slightly dangerous experience on this canoe trip. I recommend that you attach floatation bags to the bow and stern depending on the situation. My canoe does not have an automatic drainage device. When water gets in, I use a bailer to scoop out the water. The canoes I recommend are made by Royalex. The reason is that they are light and strong. Also, the shape and size of the canoe will change depending on where you paddle. We also consider the design of the canoe to be an important factor in choosing it.
A low brace is much more effective for stabilization and control in whitewater. It's almost impossible to be flipped when you are on an effective low brace.
Fun video. I love Old Town! 🤘
Thanks!

Everybody swims eventually! Great vid. Keep it up!
Thanks for your comment! I used to swim a lot!
@@canoeing looks like you’ve got it under control. I’d love to see the floatation you like and how you tie it in!
@@andrewdowns4803 If you have the opportunity to attach flotation, I will shoot a video and introduce it.
I paddled some pretty serious stuff in my Pathfinder back in the '80s. (US class 3+) I finally switched to C1 for the really big water.
Wow, that's amazing!
Truly enjoy your videos. I live here in Oregon; lots of great water here!!
Thank you always. Oregon! Very nice place! I envy the wonderful water and nature!
Fantastic skills on display thanks for posting. 🇨🇦
Thank you for watching and commenting!
Do you have to weld yourself to the canoe via a harness??
Very good level, respect!
hank you so much.
