The Pastor needs to remember that God did not refer Job to be tempted, but to be tested ; there is a difference. Jesus Christ prayed in the Lord’s Prayer “ lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil” The quote from Ellen White is talking about persecution . God does not lead us into temptation . God told Satan about Job because God knows the end from the beginning, and wanted to make of Job an example of faith for his people. So the Pastor needs to be careful with his wording.

Satan was boasting about his reign over all men. God refuted him with 1 man. Satan didn't say oh it's just 1 man. It seems that the presence of 1 man who's not under his power was enough to destroy his claim.
That story is twisted. God did not suggested Job but God read the devils mind and knew that he was thinking of testing Job and God allowed satan to test Job but he also put a limit on how far can satan cause trouble to job.
