I had this song on repeat when i was a kid but not knowing what is it called and years later, i found my long lost favourite childhood track and got into Aphex Twin discographies.
My dad used to play this in the car when I was younger. Man it’s weird when you get a spark in memory and can find what you’re looking for. Good times.
I remember downloading this off Napster back in the day. Blew my mind then. And now, 20 years later, it's blown my mind that it was an early Aphex Twin album!!
@vmcampos This was produced under Richards Power-Pill alias it wasn't exactly an Aphex Twin album, but I'm sure you knew that, I'm just putting that out there
After all these years, I finally know what fuck Pac -Man was saying; "Power Pill'. The only words I was able to make out was "Insert Coin" and "Game over".
This song was on a computer I was allowed to use in middle school. My Stepsister had downloaded it from Napster. Along with "Time After Time", "Intergalactic", "A Little Less Conversation (JXL)", "One More TIme". Somehow these few pirated songs shaped me~ funny to think about
I liked this at the time, but listening to it now, it's a god damn master piece. No doubt expired countless artists to do countless things, what a true musical genius.
There was another track, I don't know who by but it had the Tetris theme tune running through it. Been searching for that for bloody ages! This is quality!
It may not be the one you're looking for but there was a ravey track I had on cassette and was actually by Andrew Lloyd Webber of all people haha. It was Nintendo officially licensed I think, you can try that but it's probably not the one you want

I'm gonna plant all these psychological seeds if I have a kid
If he listened to Aphex Twin, your dad was probably a pretty cool dude.

Damn, I'm just discovering the aphex twin's work, and found this... and DAMN, I'VE HEARD IT YEARS AND YEARS AGO!
That's the Aphex effect right there in action
The deeper in you get the more often you might find this is the case. There is a good bit of it on NPR.
He's been with you since childhood 👀
I remember Napster and LimeWire files floatin round in 2000 of at least the first track. Release 1992

It's Power Pellet really, but a power pill is a party time pill.
Can't believe Richard was T4D90-spole5 when he made this
Can’t believe Aphex twin was 16 when he came out of the womb

the original edit and the yum yum mix are so good wtf
UK's 2022 Christmas Number one.
They used this for David Baddiel's skit on A Stab In The Dark where he remarked that all rave music was like dancing around your car alarm.
Fkin hardcore...never knew this was aphex ...this is one of my all time favourites.. along with mr.kirk and jaws... Awesome
I like the eerie creepiness of the ghost mix
Mixed by RDJ/Aphex
I thought Aphex Twin credited himself as "Power-Pill" for that EP.
Right you are! Changed the title now, thanks!
@@virtual-adam Nice. Thanks, man.
@@C4_Shaf this is probably the most wholesome comment response I've seen in a long time. You guys are legends.

The drum break on the original edit reminds me of the one found in Fantasia
I also liked this track & the Sesame Street song. Good trip music 😆

I think it was digger or digdug or sumthing
There was a Sesame Street song.
A bit of a late reply, but could it have been Tetris by Dr Spin?
No it's not the Dr Spin track. The one I'm after actually sampled the Nintendo version from the game.
Brilliant! umm umm
Come to Daddy. >:D
Excellence :D
Nothing comes close to this on Apple Music…
Wait - sampling Pink Floyd (Money) at 14:42 ??
