It would be pretty cool if the “hotel” is resided on one of the more hostile planetoids. High radiation, magma all around while your Dupes are comfortably relaxing in their air conditioned facilities.
Many things can be built over existing things of similar types. tiles such as airflow can be built over existing tiles with the construction order removing the old and installing the new in one action. The same is true for liquid pipes, building an insulated or radiant over a regular pipe (or a radiant over insulated, etc) and different types of power wire over each other. This also works for replacing regular ladders with plastic ladders. Doing this is advantageous when you want the new structure re replace the old with minimal interruption of the purpose of the original.
This was a super satisfying episode Nathan! I really like when you spend your time fixing problems of inefficiency around your base, or when you streamline everything! I think it would be fun if you did a series where you reviewed and fixed other peoples bases!

Did I understand you correctly, that you want to build an industrial brick inside your base instead of a sauna and just cool everything with the one aqua tuner that cools the base? Maybe I misunderstood something, but is that not somewhat wasteful energy-wise? To cool it so drastically instead of turning the heat (steam) into power?

There will be an industrial sauna, consider this more like the personal crafting area.
@Nathans-Sandbox I mean maybe the rock crusher but stuff like the kilm refineries and glass forge seem like things better suited to industrial area

What are your water supply plans? Usually the frozen forest only provides a cool slush geyser which is good for oxygen for maybe 12 dupes.

You could run the cooling loop through that metal tile where you are gathering all of the items. Just in case you get something hot there.
I'm still learning how vacuum works in game, would the loop react with the material?

Usually, the fibre plants feed by the dupes' poop is plenty:)
You don't necessarily need 5rockets, you only need 1 for exploring,1for colonization and one for mining
