- Our Pakistan adventure started with a road trip from Islamabad to Chitral, driving through Swat Valley and Lowari Tunnel. We had some delicious Pakistani food in Dir and ended up in Ayun, where we stayed for the night.

I worked on an access road to the lowari tunnel in upper Dir area in 2009 and drove thru parts of under construction tunnel. We lived in both Dir and Chitral Ares on both sides of tunnel. Your amazing video has brought back many memories of wonderful landscape and very hospitable people . Chitral in Pakistan is culturally rich heritage of Pakistan with its unique existence of Kalash Valley even in the whole world...full of skyscraper mountains,rivers,glaciers,hot water spring which can boil an egg if one put in its water...with green Orchards and peace loving environment...it is also home to the largest number of mountain-goat called Markhor the nation animal of Pakistan as well...for so many times i delivered exam duty over there...lovely place...i like it the most...

1. Exact time it took you to reach your hotel once you left Islamabad? Like door to door?
2. The hotel where you ate in Dir?
3. The fort/hotel you stayed in Chitral?
We left Islamabad around 7:30 am and had food around 2 pm . We stayed in Ayun Fort Inn and will explain more in the next video

there are 119 lakes, more than 5000 glaciers, almost 101 peaks whose height is above 7000, 23 forts, 75 polo grounds, 39000 rock carvings, 4 national parks with most famous DEOSAI also known as roof of the world, 3 sanctuaries which are home of 230 species of birds, 20 species of fresh water fish, 54 species of mammals, 23 species of reptiles and 6 species of amphibians... but still there is much more which is untapped till now.
