I was watching this episode and I just got more and more excited and bouncy to see both your reactions to all the scenes. It waa just one sucker punch after another.
This season has had some great moments, but over all story wise it seems very slow paced and inconsistent
I really thought that they had the butler as a Clarence Thomas look-a-like and were going for that joke; but of course Thomas would have no issues at all with internment camps.
When u spoke on the team aspect of the boys being missing I love how simultaneously they are pointing out There’s wrong and right in everybody bc the boys teamed up initially bc they felt they were killing what’s wrong in their world. Frenchie has to accept and face his wrongs while A train can be ingratiated into the team more as he rights his wrongs as well.
Frenchie is likely in one of Tek Knight's prisons, otherwise his whole guilt arc is pointless. The Boys will break into one to rescue him.
Counterpoint for Nerdy: unlike in Batman they weren't bankrupting him. The goal was more taking some of his money and donating in his name to causes anathema to his views. A billionaire having a few hundred grand in easily accessible liquid money to use for opportunities or expenses isn't really more of a stretch than someone who's not struggling having $100 or $200 set aside as "fun money."

They might not be able to make the super-virus that Butcher originally wanted, but maybe they can get one that can weaken him enough to be killed by other means. Ive seen a few reactions to the ending scene with Hughie and it always baffles me when people start laughing at him then realize oh its serious he got assulted then try to change thier tone like male sexual assult in media isnt played for laughs. Its gross I like the boys but im tired of sexual violence in this show
Well bc he was only tickled while Ashley rubbed one out. Let's not act like it's the same as a woman being raped. He literally put himself in that situation bc he took the place of a man who actually consented to those acts unbeknownst to them. At any point Hughie could've come clean
You can really tell how vanilla, or how kinky a couple is depending on how much they freak out at this episode. Judging from the fact these two were laughing and kept a straight face through most of it, I can deduce they are into some shit, and are certainly not vanilla
I don’t know, I’m pretty damn kinky and I wasn’t laughing because being properly kinky also means honoring basic consent rules, which makes this scene horrifying.

No it's because of all the overt political crap this season. Otherwise it's great. They were always light with it, but this season it's just too much. And the garbage with Frenchie. Ruined his character.

When that's literally how plots work. Like, literally every single story functions that way. Go read a book, learn story structures work. Then try again
To me this was one of the worst episodes of the series.
Primarily because of the prolonged sex dungeon nonsense - without any of it being addressed, or really mattering. Couple that with lactating Stormfront 2.0, and all the other little nonsensical plotholes and it all just adds up to one giant mess.
The highlights of the episodes were (by a wide margin) that kid seeing A-Train, and the reveal at the end.. and the latter was something that most people probably saw coming 25 miles away.. but it was done well, so thats something, at least.
The whole season has been strangely uncanny.. if you'd told me that they replaced every single writer following the S3 finale, I'd believe it at this point.. and the whole thing is clearly just moving the chess-pieces into position for the fifth and final season.. the chess-pieces that matter, that is - namely the virus being completed and Homelander getting ready for his own little Jan. 6 moment.. everything else is kinda-sorta secondary and is largely being treated as inconsequential.. it's just bad writing, full stop.
You two are hoping for a little light at the end of the tunnel this season.. I'd love that, but I dont see it happening.. in fact, I'm kinda at the point now where I doubt the writers actually know how to do that within the confines of the show - far too busy thinking up ways of topping the last gross-out.

i dont think this season is that bad but it is true it just feels so much like all the episodes are just building blocks, and that's fine to an extent because im sure there will be a great finale or great final season or whatever but the episodes are going too far in that way now, nothing really happened in this episode at all like you say and little in the prior episodes lol
I'm pretty sure they're building to a pretty bleak ending. We'll probably get a win over Firecracker and/or Sage sort of like with Soldier Boy.
But the cliff hangers probably deal with Butcher giving in to Joe. And maybe Newman being sworn in as President. I'm also pretty sure they're going to kill A Train. Just my predictions for the next 2 episodes.

Why is she so extra all the time with videos? Always puckering her lips or doing the O face, and making her eyes all wide all the time. It’s like she’s modeling for a YT TV reaction, caring more about that, her looks, and not the video. Also she doesn’t really say much, I bet she’d be even better with a natural reaction that’s all.
I get it’s TH-cam and everyone tries to look super over the top. Not trying to be mean but I just feel like she cares more about her looks on the video, not the true reaction, and it shows. She just says yep all the time.
