I discover Natal Conga,s in the seventies , Santana and Osibisa used them . Good sound and stylefull made , especial the construction of the skins to tune the sound correct . Thanks for posting this , the firm still excist .
Thank you for your positive feedback, I appreciate it. These old Natal congas are exciting to play for some reason the overall feel and sound inspires me. Maybe they remind me of some congas I played in Cuba.
Hey these drums sound lovely, and played nicely too😎🙏 I just picked up a pair yesterday. A quinto and a conga, in yellow with black splatters. Are these the same size? Think they are. Cheers Graham
Congratulations on your find ! Some of the Natal congas have been made with paint drips as part of the finish. Some of the old original vintage congas had the paint drip finish, and the re-issued Natal 'Classic Series' congas have a similar finish as well. The new ones are not made in England and the paint drippings are much more elaborate and dense.
