    First of all congratulations on your marriage, you guys are made for each other 💐
    Awesome stuff Finally found the content I was looking for. My question: where did you guys get married and where did you register your marriage first ..within Korea or the US?
    Thanks for reading🎉

      Thank you! We got married in the US first. We registered our marriage in the Korean embassy a couple years later to prepare for my visa.

    I have been trying to do research on the documents i need so your video was really helpful !! But i do have a question. They didnt need an fbi background check?

      Glad we could help! For the FBI check, I didn’t have to do it. But I think it depends on each embassy so I’d call or email them to ask.

      Thank you for the reply! Just to make sure do you mean it depends where i submit my visa application to? I also was curious how long did it take until you heard back that your visa was accepted?

    • @LetsGoTony

      @@AlejandraRojas-r9g Yeah it depends on the embassy you go to submit the application. So we emailed the embassy closest to us and they gave us the exact list we needed. In our case they didn’t require the FBI background check.
      It’s been a while but I think it took about 3 weeks to get the visa. They give you a site where you can go check. Then you have 90 days to enter Korea.

    wtf i needed this video! me and the wife are in the exact same situation!
    Did you do the health/medical exam as well? And turn it in into the consulate?

    • @LetsGoTony
      @LetsGoTony  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn't have to do a medical exam. I think it depends on your nationality and even the specific consulate you go to. So email your consulate and they'll tell you what's required for your specific situation. They were pretty helpful.

    Thanks for this video! What does it mean on the Korean visa website that "periods of stay granted up to 90 days" for F-6 visa since you say period is at least 1 year? Does that mean you have 90 days to enter Korea after you get visa?

    • @LetsGoTony
      @LetsGoTony  ปีที่แล้ว

      Your welcome. And yes, you'll have 90 days to enter Korea and visit the immigration office to get your residency card. At that point it'll be a 1 year (or longer) visa.

    Hello :) What should i write on the Application form where it says -- Intended Period of Stay ---- ? should i write 12 month because thats the first year AND then i renew it ?

    • @LetsGoTony
      @LetsGoTony  15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I think it’s asking how long you plan to stay in Korea. But I’m not sure. Best to ask an expert on that.

    Can I apply for this visa in Korea?

    • @LetsGoTony
      @LetsGoTony  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you’re on a tourist visa, I don’t think you can apply for this within Korea. They make you apply for it outside of Korea. But if you have a different type of visa like a student visa it might be okay. At least that’s what I heard but you might want to email Korean immigration to be sure.

    My fiancé and I are getting married and applying for an f6 visa three days later. Do you know if we’ll need to register our marriage with the Korean consulate in the U.S.? If so, does it take a while?

    • @LetsGoTony
      @LetsGoTony  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      When we reported our marriage it took about two weeks to get a confirmation. Then I showed up on the family registry. Not sure if you can do it all at once or if you have to wait to register first. I’d email your consulate to see what they say.
