- Today we celebrated Donald the Groodle’s birthday at the farm and he chose a solo quad run to enjoy on his special day! Happy happy birthday Donald!
We opened the big sports pool up today with the temperature getting warmer as we head closer to summer. The dogs were very excited to dive in for the lure and sink Uncle Luke on the SUP.
Monday’s pack get an A+ for a united calm command mid super intense excitement and are rewarded with more crazy fun!
Freddo the Rottweiler joined the pack in the afternoon for some socialising. He did well and his tail is all better.
The three German Shepherd shelter puppies met Monday’s pack for the first time and they did very well.
Doug and Sebby the Pugs are sleeping over and we’re extremely excited to be. So too was Elle! Doug found a dummy and paraded it around the house. It makes us laugh when he does this.
The puppies came out for a play with the sleepover pack. Bandit was excited to play with them. He had the same attitude he had when he met Cutie Pie.
But it is Uncle Yo and Aunty Pie that are the little puppies faves. They climb all over them and hang off ears and lips. And all Uncle Yo and Aunty Pie do is love them more. Racing around after them and fussing over them. Too cute!
Here is an idea- everybody who loves dogs and had a rubbish day- watch any of these videos and you are instantly a lot happier... well, works for me. x

I provided a link and a recommendation just like that on my facebook page. I encourage you all to do that.
I have a better idea...why don't we push our governments to set up day care centers like this where are dogs are picked up in buses just like school kids and brought here when we go to work and are brought back when we return from work! We do not value dogs enough!! Without dogs you would see suicide rates jump through the roof. A lot more people would feel sick and miss work, making for a less productive society. We will end up with sky high medical costs. We have yet to place a true cost of a dog for the betterment of humans. We only place a value when they are service and therapy dogs but they are so much more!! We will have more murders with more humans harming humans without dogs. Dogs help us with stress. But nobody has ever put the true cost of a dog and the cost benefits towards human society.
The 'united calm command' even made ME be silent, and I wasn't even barking ;) xoxo

@@carolvanbeugenbik4632 I'm guessing it was part of the basic training - and reminding them that Luke is the pack leader. (Same reason for having them go through the gate one at a time, with Luke's ok.)
We don't see* him do that often but when he does it's powerful. And as Mamie said, it is a simple reminder that Luke is the pack leader...he waits a few moments and then releases so they can erupt with joyful noise again.

You can see Bandit calculating where the lure will swing over the pool. He times his jumps where the other dogs just go randomly. This smart boy caught the prize.
To see Yoyo playing so gently with the puppies is really lovely. What a new life he is having.
Bandit loved playing with the puppies. How far Yoyo has come is heartwarming. From a scared, lonely dog at the back of a cage to a calm, friendly, happy dog.
I agree with you - even though I have seen the transformation of YoYo with my own eyes, I still can't quite believe how quickly and well this beautiful boy has changed.
There were scenes during training between Jake and Yoyo when he was so anxious and aggressive that he had to be muzzled. And now ... in 2 months only!

Happy and I noticed in another recent video how Yoyo wrangled the puppies and seemed to know they needed special handling, he was so gentle with them and watched over them. He feels love for others. 💖💖💖
Bandit was so great, and YoYo, he loves teaching how to play, improvised with the vine grass. Wonders will never cease!
Watching Bandit with the puppies makes me wish Riker was still with us. He’d have been No 1 uncle without any doubt.

Yoyo really loves the puppies doesn't he. And Bandit is trying to play with them. How sweet he is being. I laugh out loud watching them all in the pool trying to get the lure off the fishing line. I hardly ever laugh out loud but these crazy dogs bring the laughter out of me. Thank you xx

Mr bandit was happy the big pool was open. It was great to see him play with the puppies. The viszlas jumps were spectacular. Doug the pug with wolforic's binky, to funny. Way to go freddo, you fit right into the pack.
I love Yoyo he is a gentle sweetheart 🥰 He sure loves Luke the way he looks at him. Nothing quite like a Vizsla jump in the pool 😆 and Bandit and the babies are sure going to have fun together.
That blond lab would be Zara… she is over the moon for Uncle Luke and attempts to rescue him in the pool at every opportunity ❣️
Uncle Yo and Uncle Bandit so gentle and happy to tend to the puppies while Aunt Til supervised. Doug knew where there was a baby he would find a pacifier and he found one! Have a great week and thank you all.

It is so wonderful what you have done for the shelter dogs. I can't get over what good dogs they have shown themselves to be, no one would have seen that if you and your family had not worked with them. Awesome job & thank you for allowing us to follow their progress.

Yoyo is such a gentle big brother for the puppies, where did he learn that? He and Bandit in between them can easily be trusted to look after and entertain them when Lucy is not available.

I agree. Yo-yo is so gentle with the puppies and to think he had aggression issues at the start! That’s a great testament to the work that Luke and the gang have done 👏

I think we forget Yo-Yo is very young I’m sure around 12months so still a pup at heart really although without a doubt his seizing of the opportunity he’s been given is enormously heartwarming 🙏

Lots of leaping today! First Ruby(?) into Luke's arms, next Murphy(? B&W border) into the dam, then EVERYONE into the big pool!! It was like watching popcorn pop...I couldn't stop laughing!!🤣🤣 Luke's "off switch" at 10:16 was amazing. Freddo's interaction with the pack went well, and so did the puppies', with Uncle Yo and Aunt Pie standing by! Milo obviously loved his bath.😊 Elle's sweet laughter with the pugs and YoYo, Luke feeding young Wolfric, and Uncle Yo and Uncle Bandit playing with the pups...what a delight! Now I can start my day!!🥰🥰🥰
What a perfect way to describe today's video and, like watching popcorn pop, the suspense kept you there to see who would leap next and Luke's total control with one word - QUIET! - awesome.

The picknick area is a safe place for many occasions: if you don't want to play with puppies you lie on the table, if you are a puppy you can hide from all the giants under it... :-)

Looks like YoYo has taken over the role as ‘Dad’ to the puppies and Bandit the big playmate! So glad to see Bandit jumping in the pool (I was thrown off by his new red collar tho - I thought it was the female Boxer we sometimes see!). I love when you gave the command they all hushed up, that was awesome. The new pool is awesome too. And that Bandit can figure out anything, he caught the lure. I was laughing so much with the pool diving. Yoyo is a great dog! he was wonderful with the pups. Thanks for all you do for the dogs!
The big magnesium pool we saw today isn't new...it's just not been used until now due to water temperature. They're just coming out of their winter months and that pool is not heated (it's 260,000 litres and the biggest mag pool for dogs in Australia). They'll now use that one daily and especially on the hot summer days that are coming

Those dogs are so happy running and playing without a care in the world. Luke trying to stay on the surf board with all the dogs wanting a ride knocking him off had me in stitches. Yo-yo & and Bandit laying down to play with the puppies was so sweet. ♥️

Sam, it has been a tough weekend my Gracie could not stand nor walk. She has two luxating patella’s one vet suggested I put her down. No way. Surgery but not saying goodbye. No! She is up on the couch watching her beloved DDFT videos. Pray for my baby girl. Trying to get in touch with Texas A&M Vet school. They are the best. Your video is helping to give me strength like your previous supporter. Thank you.

My goodness, I wish humans greeted other humans the way these doggies greet Luke. They are overwhelmed with joy and excitement to see him!
Agree! These videos have given me an example to greet my husband with a happy hug when he comes home. Sure, after 20 years it can be ho hum to see the same person every day, but a hug greeting can make him smile and feel glad about coming thru the door. I think it would make anyone, or any pet feel better about the world in general if we thought more like doggos do and showed love love love when we see family/friend/pet. Seeing these videos makes me happy and fills me up with joy that I can spread around to my peeps.
To be fair my husband use to say he wished I’d greet him when he comes home the way I greeted our dog, the dog greet is wonderful and the same excitement from them everyday, can’t say that about humans I’ve met though…..🥺

Go for it. Write the story and get an illustrator to do the pictures. I'm sure that's what happens with most successful children's books.

I noticed that when the pups came out. Uncle Yo formed a protective guard.
@@violimo I noticed that too and with such calmness and confidence - it really is quite remarkable to see the YoYo that was always meant to be.
He does the same with the kids and baby Wolf 🥰 … also Luke when dogs are misbehaving. His protective instincts are high. Couldn’t much ask for more in a dog than what you get in YoYo. And to think someone dumped him, didn’t know the treasure they had

It's the male puppy that has the floppy ears - it helps me tell them apart - little sister, big sister and big floppy eared brother.
