I just stumbled upon one of these cameras in good working condition. My research has led me here. Very interesting! I will have to watch 'COMPUTER CHESS'.

I recently bought a 3200 with all of the original parts included in the set- The viewfinder is seriously glitchy, I can see that it is seeing a bit but I want to clean it up. Does anyone know how to make the viewfinder work better? Is it a connection thing or just damage? new to all this, any input would be appreciated

Great video, thanks for the info 👌🏼 Do you know of any kind of cable that can adapt the RF output to something like an HDMI in or micro SDI? I'm trying to find a way to send the video signal into my Blackmagic Video Assist and do my recording through there.
Or just any info on the recording process with this camera. Just came across one during an internship and would love to shoot with it. Thanks!

Just get composite video capture card. If you have the switch set to video, it will output a composite video signal - you will just need an adapter from the UHF connector to BNC or RCA depending on the card you get. The adapter can be made at home If you know how to solder.

Howdy- I was wondering what exact type of adapter did you use for the "Video Out" before you got the BNC connector? Thanks!

Hi Joe, just saw that this video is on here. Our tests showed that the camera’s signal would not run stable enough by itself and we had to run it through a time base corrector before sending it to an analog to digital SDI converter and finally to our AJA Ki Pro Mini which recorded in the Apple ProRes format. Here is something I wrote about using the camera on COMPUTER CHESS a while ago, which gives you some insight:

What kinda Lens does this take and how do you export the video?

The standard video out uses a UHF adapter which you can find UHF male to AV female adapters easily on amazon or eBay. From there you can use a video capture card and it’s software to capture the video. I recommend the elgato video capture as it’s cheap and easy to use. As for the lens it uses a C mount. Used mostly for 16mm film cameras. You can find C mount to Sony/cannon easily.
