OMG this is still around? I am the husband of the winner of this episode, Jim. It was a blast to do and I learned so much about reality TV. Funny thing is I taught media literacy so I got to use clips of the show and then explain how the process works BTW, you'll notice during the credits we are chatting with the celebs. That was actual and they were all very nice.
How did such a terrible show exist with such magnificent guests and produce such funny episodes and never know about it until what looks like at least 20 years later on TH-cam!
@@nargly8208 Jerry Seinfeld is unwatchable on this show. He is a worse actor and more scripted here than on his sitcom. I like "Seinfeld", but Jerry was the straight man there (and a bad actor) and is the most overrated person in show business. And Jerry is a creator of this POS, so clearly Tom Papa owed Jerry a favor and make him host this thing. I have no idea why the hilarious Ricky Gervais did this show. There must have been a boatload of money involved.
TV critics were very harsh on it at the time. But I guess it really depends on who's on the panel that day - some weeks would have been funnier than others.
No, but I noticed Gervais ripped off an old Seinfeld joke about Chinese food just being “food” in China. The more I think about it too, I didn’t like how he (I almost said she) discussed and made a joke about Jewish male genitals designed to throw a Jewish man off balance with that bit about circumcision.
The pumpkin thing doesn’t make sense, if he have to climb a fence to grow his pumpkins because it’s not his property, how does he take an 800 pound pumpkin out of the property?, they could make better stories for that show.
