I appreciate you doing this video. I have a 2004 Chevy Tahoe. It just don’t have the power I think it should. Have a great and blessed week my friend 👊👊👊👍😎
I miss my old truck. Lotta good times with it. Supposedly my 18 yr old Honda needs a knock sensor, if you lived down the block I'd pay you to look at it .
@@thebeardedguyjefflawless5887 04 Civic. Not a bad little car, not what I'm used to, i've always driven Chevys and Pontiacs, but not a bad car. I took to a place by my old apartment when the check engine light went on, they came up with every excuse to replace most of the exhaust work, 2 grand and 2 months later, light was still on, felt real damn stupid. Took car in another place for alternator and he said it was a simple knock senor but costs almost a grand to replace. Needless to say I haven't done it and car still runs.
I done mine the other day like you did didnt use dorman knock sensors but keeps giving me vibration noise or low circuit so wonder if its the cheap knock sensors? How far did you put the all thread in the heads
May 14 2024 , question , is the knock sensor still in same relocated place ? Did you have to reprogram the ECM ( aka PCM ? Did you use acdelco products ?
Didn't have to do anything to the pcm........had a buddy look at live data when I changed location for the sensors and they gave the correct readings.....yes ac Delco parts......thank you for the question
Ok good deal done mine twice in less then a week that gets old put new knock sensors in one was bad from factory so next time they go bad again I'll do what you did thanks for the video
I took a knock sensor with me and got a piece of all thread and two nut couplers. I think I cut the all thread 2.5in. Used the couplers to put the all tread and sensors together and installed in the heads. Wires that come with the sensors are plenty long

Thank you brother, what engine does it have?

good video boss, what size are the spacers you use between the head and the sensor
2in all thread and the coupler nut is one long........can't remember the thread size........but just match up to the treaded part of the sensor
They still doing good
Yes still doing great

@@thebeardedguyjefflawless5887 good still tryin to get home, we broke down in Va today, easy fix will continue in the morn.

What size and thread pitch all thread?
I can't remember, but measure the thread pitch on the knock sensor and you're golden........thanks for watching
Do you have your parts list for the additional items needed?

Where do I buy and what name does it have where the sensor is screwed in
Thanks
I took the sensors and found couplers and got some all thread about 3.5in each then just screw them in the heads and route the wires down.
Dod you use ac sensors
I used Doorman parts
