As a young guy starting off his style journey these videos are great. Can you do more of these for different styles in the future, it would be great :D.
Since I am in the tropics I cannot choose this style for my wardrobe, but when I looked at the colors, I think I can go on the hunt for these colors. Just to take a risk. He doesn't speak to the average person or those who are broke unless you pay him money to enroll in his classes or buy his books which of course a broke person can't afford. His "Baby Steps" are basic advice anyone can find anywhere and figure out on their own. Find a good book on basic money management that talks about saving, paying off debt, increasing your income. Things that your grandma talked about and you'll learn a lot more than from some financial "guru" who has become rich on books and programs. Money has its own rules and you can learn them by reading and listening to real people who are good at it.
Guys who wear rugged clothes to actually do rugged work dress like this all the time, and they don't have a lot of money. But they actually do rugged work, unlike wannabes who want to LOOK like they do rugged work.
I've spent years wearing ex-military clothing and combat fatigues. This combination rule is just ideal and now I can see where those khaki chinos will work with olive drab colours. Thank you for your insight.

I just got started on this channel and this one really fits my needs! I'm retired and just don't need that many business clothes. Also, being an old country boy, the rugged style fits me well.
Greetings Mr. Centeno. i personally recommend: - Jackets: Suede trucker, double rider in subdued colors (Avoiding flashy chrome or golden hardware, or too much of it, like a lot of snaps, going with antique brass or black instead) like a Schott Cafecto, Cafe Racer or a P613S) another good one is a dark, navy blue denim type 3 jacket, will work much better and be more versatile than a loud colored or light wash ones, so it applies the same rule as jeans, darker denim is more versatile. Obviously, heritage leathers like cow, steer and horsehide will be best, even though they are harder to break in, they're just extremely long lasting and heirloom pieces. This beside the formal wear that you might need, which, quite frankly, if you don't work at an office and don't go to much formal events, you just need a blazer or two. - Jeans: Less is more, straight cut, heaviest denim you can find (12 - 20oz is a good point, no need to look for extremely heavy ones or selvedge, just raw, 100% cotton denim) in medium to dark wash. - Boots: Personally i really like stuff like combat boots, classic or heritage design boots like Nicks, and moc toes. While light brown is a nice color for leather, i'd say black is the default, and interestingly, burgundy is a great color as well, which not many people wear. - Shirts: I'd say keep a couple of more formal shirts, the rest, plaid / flannel. - Belts: Single piece of veg tanned leather throught, no stitching, with the plainest buckle you can find. Will work for either formal ocassions and casuals as well. Not much science to it

I’d love to see more style videos for outdoor and rugged wear. I work in a field job and need to wear clothes that won’t have trouble going out in ANY weather ANY time and spend a lot of my free time hiking, canoeing, and riding horses. I’d love some ideas on how to dress nicer in things that will still look good when I’m covered in dust, mud, and sweat.
Here is mine: Boots: Folsom Combat Boots from Frye Boot Company Pants: Distressed Dark Gray Jeans from anywhere, but I wehere old navy cause im broke Shirt: Grateful Dead Band Tee from Urban Outfitters Overshirt: Blue denim shirt from goodwill jacket : acid washed jean jacket black. Its a bit grunge but it works. Try it seriously. Also those boots are expensive and can easily be substitueded by 80 $ palladiums which are a bit more comfy and more afforadable. But go for frys for maximum aesthetic.
Rugged is my middle name. Darker colors, heavy fabrics, triple stitched, all makes you look like you are ready for trouble. All you need to finish it is your best Clint Eastwood imitation and some stubble, instant respect where ever you go.
I propose you do a trip-video, to Seattle, to the Filson Co. They have a store downtown with so many high quality interesting items with the manufacturing right there, From the retail floor you can look right into the manufacturing area and watch American products still being made. The location has a great historical feel which might work well for a video.
To break away from the infomercial, you can mix your togs with Carhartt, Duluth, Levis, Wrangler, etc. All are available in earth tone colors, rugged fabrics, and practical designs. Carhartt and Levis are my go to brands for rugged casual.

I'd like to pitch an idea for another video... you see, after watching this video I thought of revamping my wardrobe, problem is I'm currently on the chubby side, and I don't know when I'll spend my money (before or after I lose some pounds)... with that in mind, are there certain men's wear that I can buy now which can smoothly transition between body types and will still be usable once you lose weight?

Shane McNealy jean jackets are perfect for this look, especially if you get one with a sherpa collar, and/or sherpa lining. Look at the Gap for stuff like that.
I'll take the liberty of answering that. DON'T! If it is good quality leather you need nothing for the next 10 years at least, maybe 20. If it is naked cowhide, then maybe every 5 years use some mink oil. No silicone products, ever. If the jacket gets soaked through, let it dry away from the heat. That's all.

I work within the Computer security sector for a large financial institution. I was wondering, if it is at all possible to get away with wearing a form of rugged smart casual (i.e. Denim shirt, Brown Boots, and a leather messenger bag) I'm not normally seen by my high up mangers and most of my team wear polo shirts. would wearing items of clothing that are rugged make me stand out in a bad way??

I'll take the liberty of answering that. DON'T! If it is good quality leather you need nothing for the next 10 years at least, maybe 20. If it is naked cowhide, then maybe every 5 years use some mink oil. No silicone products, ever. If the jacket gets soaked through, let it dry away from the heat. That's all.

I work within the Computer security sector for a large financial institution. I was wondering, if it is at all possible to get away with wearing a form of rugged smart casual (i.e. Denim shirt, Brown Boots, and a leather messenger bag) I'm not normally seen by my high up mangers and most of my team wear polo shirts. would wearing items of clothing that are rugged make me stand out in a bad way??
