I have played an obscene amount of Fallout: New Vegas and watched an even more obscene amount of TNG, and yet I only just found out about this today. Hearing Patrick Stewart do the spoken word part was amazing

Damn that's kinda...weird. I mean I'm a dude so I don't really have a voice here, but still. I'd expect girls to crush on Riker or maybe LaForge, but Data? Out of them all really Data?
@@Jukletsplay I don't know how to explain it myself, really. But I thought (and still think) he's just absolutely lovely and cute. I thought Riker was actually quite ugly before the beard.
@@Jukletsplay i did not have a crush on data but i was completely fascinated by him as a child when my parents had tng on : ) he and geordi were my favorite characters, but data was and remains so special to me because he is a kind, curious, fun male character - he was clueless about other people in the ways i was and beautiful in a strange way. his difference was celebrated. the men in my life were more like worf or riker, or numerous other male characters introduced. they were all good and interesting as well! but data and geordi were some that i considered "friends" lol.
Lol, I'm sure that Mr. Spiner is old enough to be your father, but I get what you mean. I adored him in all of his roles when I saw him in movies and TV shows growing up. I always thought he was so handsome despite being a bit older than my own father.

16.07.2022 that's a day to remember. I had no idea Brent Spiner recorded any songs. I've been listening just now to Mike Preston singing this song when I noticed this in recommendations on side. I don't know why and how, that's a discovery to me. True gem. Thanks for sharing.
Brent sang on Broadway for years before STNG. He is also a professional singer but to my knowledge, Brent only sings covers. He has no original music that I know of.
When I heard Brent sing, I thought "here's a great singer who sings music I would've liked to have introduced to my late parents, not be embarrassed, and liked it too. Keep on singing, Brent.
My mother, if she were still alive, would have loved his music. Very romantic. I watched Brent on "Star Trek:NG" and on the "Enterprise" arc and wondered if he was still singing. Glad he does; he's less than a month younger than my older brother Gib.

Sir Pat and Brent are real life best friends. Brent was the best man at Sir Pat's wedding (Sir Ian officiated, if I recall.)
