I love this fragrance! I used to like Santal 33 until the “pickle” scent became more apparent that i got turned off eventually. I think Papyrus Moleculaire is the smoother and creamier version of S33. I would think of it as a cross between S33 and Tom Ford’s Santal Blush where you can smell pencil shavings associated with sandalwood.

Sounds like quite an interesting fragrance, Pep. I love how you introduce your viewers to scents we might never have heard of. You inspire to explore fragrances I would never have considered, and purchasing decants or samples is of of course a practical way to do this, though I have not done so yet. Nice touch with the black and white video too!

I'm starting to get into vegetal-smelling fragrances, so this sounds very interesting to me (though I'm not sure how i feel about that Le Labo comparison!). Thanks for the helpful review!

Nice one Pep! I like Absinthe Boreale and Santal Volcanique (though admittedly I prefer them on Matt)

Enjoyed the review and Maison Crivelli definitely sounds worth sampling. Really would like to try Iris Malikhan. Thanks a lot.

You know, I never really got the pickle brine similarity in S33 either. Until like a month ago. I left the stuff on a test strip on my desk overnight and in the morning I finally understood. Definitely not a strong vinegar and dill or anything, but just the way the papyrus settles into a powdery violet and salty leather. Had a bit of a chuckle.

Papyrus is such an evocative note. Have you tried Papyrus Oud from Parle Moi de Parfums?
By the way, if it's ok to ask, how do you mic your videos? The sound quality is always so good, even when your voice breaks ;)

That thing around my neck is a lac mic. I use the audio from that instead of the camera mic
